Yep. SS joined the reserves fresh out of high school. A buddy of his (the same age) joined the Marines at the same time. SS went to Iraq in December and his buddy has yet to go. It was totally SS's decision to join the military, so what could we say?
Dear Lord, please give me the strength to not slap an idiot today......Amen.

Re: Suggestions...
Wow thanks for all the suggestions. 1st he has spoken with his guidence coun. but he is not one to just share information. I talked with her today and she gave me some stuff to look up on the net and share that with him. I hope he not wanting to go into the marines because of his father. His father is not someone to look up to and that is a shame. His father would rather drink and have no responsibilities. What is jobcorp? There were some other questions and things I wanted to ask but since this sight is going so slow it takes forever to go back one page and I have cable. Oh he knows that we have saved for his education not all completly yet but we suggested the community college first 2 years then go from there. Thanks so much everyone.
