    Finally the World Joins In

It appears that when we upped the anti to help those in Indonesia, the rest of the world responded in kind. Hong Kong actually raised $50 million. Sweden is giving that much and Japan is giving even more than we are.

I know that we are a giving nation but I think that we will see the rest of the world add to our donations to help these poorer nations and the disaster that the have faced. They have islands that are completely devoid of people and buildings. It will take years to rebuild. But I do believe that all nations will come together to help out.

It's nice to know that we aren't alone any more.

Re: Finally the World Joins In

I'm glad to see other countries are following our lead. I know this is kind of small potato's, but I just read Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to the Red Cross. She did the same after 911. It would be nice to see more celebrities and other rich folks donate. Bill Gates gave $3 million which is very generous, although he's a billionaire.

Well I say Kudo's to everyone who is donating, no matter how small! Every dollar counts.
