The Best Chick Flicks of All Time -- What's Your Favorite ? Did It Make the List ?
Ah, guilty pleasures!
O, The Oprah Magazine has named the best chick flicks of all time. This isn't just about romance and a box of tissues to catch all the tears. "From frothy romances to whale-riding adventures, these films show us who we are, where we've been, what we can take, and better yet, what we can dish out," the O editors write of the list culled by Karen Durbin.
Here are the top 25 of the 50 published in the magazine:
1. "Morocco," directed by Josef von Sternberg
2. "Camille," directed George Cukor
3. "Notorious," directed by Alfred Hitchcock
4. "The French Lieutenant's Woman," directed by Karel Reisz
5. "The English Patient," directed by Anthony Minghella
6. "The Women," directed by George Cukor
7. "Julia," directed by Fred Zinnemann

14. "Aliens," directed by James Cameron
15. "Thelma & Louise," directed by Ridley Scott
16. "What's Love Got to Do With It," directed by Brian Gibson

Re: The Best Chick Flicks of All Time -- What's Your Favorite ? Did It Make the List ?
WOW....I guess I'm not a big fan of "Chick flicks".
My faves are Slingblade-The Green Mile-Cider House Rules-Kevin Costners' Wyatt Earp.
I guess "Chick Flick" depends on the "Chick"!
Oh wait!!! I just thought of 1 sappy chick flick that I LUV...THE BODYGUARD....w/Kevin Costner & Whitney Houston. That 1 gets me every time!

Re: The Best Chick Flicks of All Time -- What's Your Favorite ? Did It Make the List
the only ones on the list that i like
Desperately Seeking Susan, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, What's Love Got to Do With It, "Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Pretty Woman.
i wouldn't say any of them are my favorite. i'm more into movies like 12 monkeys, the matrix, dune, the postman, waterworld, jay and silent bob strikes back, shrek 1 and 2, or any movie that has a huge unexpected plot twist.
I don't support stupidity!

Re: The Best Chick Flicks of All Time -- What's Your Favorite ? Did It Make the List
The only movies from that list that would make my 'chick flick' list would be Breakfast at Tiffany's and Camille. Camille would only make the list because La Dame aux Camelias is one of my favorite books.
