Do Dogs have Hot Flashes (this is not a joke but question)

I know it sounds crazy but my dog acts like she is having hot flashes.
One minute OK next hot then OK.

We have been to the vet he checked heartworms, OK, other worms, None, heart good. Give me $58.00. Says she is healthy but this is not normal, but he says he can't find anything?

Honest she acts like she is going threw the change of life and in dog years she is right age. LOL Do they?

Has anyone ever had a dog like this?
    Help.

Forgive me but LOL The vet says she's OK so I wouldn't worry about it.

Vet's are wrong like doctors sometimes.

Vet also told me other dog had fleas we liked to wash her fur off and kept saying can't find any.

After running out of O'Roy dog feed and the store not having any got another brand and guess what she had a allergy to O'Roy.

Was just wondering if anyone else dog has hot flashes. I still say that is not normal to be freezing cold and panting.
She is a inside dog but does go potty outside and will pant sometimes outside even if it cold.

I would take her to a different vet. I spent hours and hours and many $'s on one of my boys' skin condition. He was itchy and lost a lot of hair. Now he is on a restricted diet and is much better. Just because one vet can't find anything wrong doesn't mean there isn't something wrong.

Is your dog spayed? I haven't heard of a dog having hot flashes, and if she's spayed she definately shouldn't be having anything related to doggie menopause.

I hope you can find out what's going on with her. Please keep us informed.

dogs don't go through menopause. Have you taken her temp when she seems to be hot? You need to know if she is actually experiencing a change of body temp. Dogs will pant and act hot for many reasons, especially stress. If her temp is actually rising then it may indicate an infection.

Our Sally (golden retriever) pants even when it is cold outside. She is just hot natured. What kind of dog is yours? Maybe thats it?

Not sure what she is but does look a bit like she got some retriever in her.

Never did think about taking temp. when she is panting that is a good idea.
    Thank you.

This is something new for her she has not done it before.
