Need ornament recipe
Last year my girls and I made ornaments out of a flour mix recipe that I found on the net. It was ok, but the ornaments turned out spotted with flour because I had to put flour all over them in order to get them off my fingers...
anyhow, does anyone know of any recipes that are less messy and don't need to be coated with flour in order to keep them from sticking?
TIA!

The applesauce, cinnamon and glue ones are pretty good, after you get going it's not real messy.Do a search on cinnamon dough and you should find it real easy.Or I can mail you the 4 or so dozen I still have (yes I mean 4 dozen) from last year.Made more than I thought it would LOL!Better yet, lemme get that recipe for ya and post it here.

Re: Need ornament recipe
Here it is I borrowed it from a site.Hope you can use it!
Spicy scented dough to make ornaments etc.
1 cup (250 ml) cinnamon
1 Tbsp (15 ml) cloves
1 Tbsp (15 ml) nutmeg
3/4 c (375 ml) applesauce, drained
2 Tbsp (30 ml) white all purpose glue
Combine cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add applesauce and glue.
Mix well with hands until mixture is smooth and well combined.
Roll one quarter of the dough between 2 pieces of waxed paper til about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters, etc. Use drinking straw or similar object to cut holes for hanging.
Dry on wire rack for several days, turning daily so they don't curl up as they dry. You could also dry them in a 250 degree F oven (125 degrees C) til hard and dry.
