    Where in the world....

did these come from??? Hoping someone has an answer...let me explain:

About a year ago, i decided i was going to start a little fish aquarium. Went out and bought a brand new 10 gallon tank, brand new decorations for it, and about 6 fish. Anyhow, happenings in the tank have been...well...normal..lol..its a fish tank...no excitement there. Until, recently. I was feeding them one day, and noticed a tiny itty bitty something (about the size of a few pin dots) attached to the side of the tank. Pretty far down, so i stuck my net in there, figuring it was debris, and scraped it off. Once i did, I couldn't find it...so i just forgot all about it. A few days later, there were 5 itty bitty somethings all attached to the side. Well, I managed to detach one of these itty bitty somethings, set it on a piece of paper, and by god....the thing is alive!!!...Now my 5 have multiplied to 10...10...baby snails. WEIRDEST thing!!..How? Where would they come from?? They are taking over!! Keep in mind, I've had this tank and ALL of its inhabitants for almost a year AND I live alone, so there is no one else here to contribute to it.

Did you more recently add more fish or greenery? The could have gotten in from them.

A ten gallon tank...do you have little tetras in it? They can be intorduced into the tank in several ways but up to a year later? I don't know unless, like previously stated, new plants or fish.
Depending on the condition of your water, they may or may not live and reproduce but a clown loach will eat them for you. If you go that way though, you need to buy two because they like pairs at least.

I always liked having snails in my tank, because they help keep it clean. That is really weird that they just appeared out of nowhere like that. Do you feed your fish fresh food? That could be a way they could get in. Allot of people buy feeder guppies and other fresh foods.
NEW ! => ISO LIST! please L@@K and see if you have something I need.
