    Lightbulb Computer/hacker experts help!!

Is there a way to get into a password protected computer?? My Dh's friend found a HP Presario 700 laptop with XP Home Edition (left at a party) but can't find out anything about the owner cuz it's locked by a password. The password hint is "duh" so that isn't much help, lol. Is there a way to bypass the password? Should we call HP maybe?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
