    Should I or shouldn't I?

My girls (9&7) are currently sharing a room as they have all their lives. Well the 7 y/o now wants her own room, which is not impossible, but will take some work.

Heres the deal... we have 3 bedrooms. girls in 1, DH & I in another and then the 3rd is used for DH's music studio. We have a living room and a den, and we are thinking about putting doors on the den and putting the studio in there and then DD can get her own room.... the only problem is that I LOVE the den!!! Its my favorite room in the house and it has french doors that go to the patio out back and I lvoe to sit with all the curtains open during the day. PLUS this house has a lot of woodwork and I am afraid that putting doors on the den will require hardware to be installed into the wood.

I am willing to give up my fav room for my DD, but am really afraid that it will look funny.

Here are the pics of the house so you can see what I am talking about..

2nd pic is where we would move the "living area" to.. its currently in the den
    # 9 & 10 are of the den.. I hate to mess up the door frame by putting doors up....

    what does everyone else think?

Don't think I havn't thought about it! LOL I would LOVE to do that BUT if we do that, I really don't want everyone to have to go through our bedroom to get out back.... they could go through the garage, but I don't like that idea... just me though LOL

I am actually thinking about moving the studio in the den BUT I get to keep my computer in there as well so that I can still "visit" and enjoy the windows LOL

I have absolutely no problem with that EXCEPT that we are talking thousands of dollars worth of music equipment that won't withstand the heat/cold lets not even talk about his regular PA system that is in the van.. which is parked in the garage LOL ... it goes on and on. To be honest, if I could afford it I would just rent an efficiency apartment and put all his music stuff there LOL

Trust me, if it could be done it would be LOL

As a matter of fact I have been eyeballing the house for sale next door because it has 4 bedrooms

Is your garage finished or unfishinshed. If its unfished why not turn half of into a large studio for him, drywall, insulation and vent from the main heating/ac unit to allow for temp. control. Just a thought but thats what I would I do.

Putting doors on the den are MUCH cheaper LOL

I'd love to just add a room on here, but who am I kidding?

Cheaper is better when it comes down to there is no way I could afford to re-do the garage LOL

I don't look at it like giving it up for my husbands stuff.... I am giving it up so DD can have her own room

It would be different if the studio was justa hobby, its his full time job... hummm maybe we should charge more so that I can re-do the garage LOL
