    Re: Geico insurance

My roommate has Geico and has been paying the same amount for years - except when he got old enough to be in a new age bracket and then it went down.

When his car got broken into, he called Geico right after the police (was on the phone while the cops were outside doing their thing) and it went really quickly. He got it fixed the same day.

    because you are. ~ ?

If you are military go with USAA...I have found no one will touch their rates. Most insurance companies have told me that they won't even waste my time waiting for a rate. Geico sent me a mailing .....said they would give us a lower rate...well we have a perfect driving record and the rate they gave us, I had to laugh!!!

    Re: Geico insurance

I did forget to add, the coverage I quoted above, just under $500 every six months for the 2000 GMC Sonoma (4 wheel drive extended cab pickup), was driving 40 miles a day round trip for work, and the coverage is $300,000/ $300,000/$100,000. It also includes Roadside Assistance, towing and rental car. We have $100 deductible on collision and $50 deductible for comprehensive.
With more expensive cars on the road today, we opted for higher coverage.

My Dad was hit by someone insured with Gieco, and after 6 months of arguing with them to get the truck fixed, my Dad's insurance company(Allied, I think) sued them...the truck got fixed real quick then!

We use Progressive, $1475/6 mos, full coverage, but it's a brand new car(2005), and we uped the coverage amount we have for everything, and payed all deductibles up front.
