How did you spend your Saturday?
Not alot going on here tonight, so to give us all a little something to do, how did you spend your day?
Did the usual straightning here, headed to the grocery, did more money tranfering between accounts so the DH could purchase what I like to refer to as "Project Ugly"..... which I somehow got roped into helping for awhile. Dropped son and his friend off at the fair and then later ran the DH over there.... it's demo night...... and since its not over yet I'm waiting on a call to go pick them up. Planned on spending the time they were gone chilling, but friends dropped by unexpectedly..... so we went shopping..... bought DH a portable USB 52X CD RW cause he mentioned he wanted one and saved almost $50 in the process...... now need to get PC tech friend to swing by and make it work and save me the hassle of figuring out what I did wrong if I installed it.

Re: How did you spend your Saturday?
This is what I did today and already posted it Birthday vs. Christmas. And to top it all off, my grandgirl that lives with me best friend has been in labor all day and we thought little Ryan would be an additional birthday present. Well he was born near 1 am, big, healthy, everyone fine That's why I'm still online. Heather keeps calling me every little bit with updates

WOW! What a birthday this year. It was more like Christmas. My family really outdid themselves. I got 7 cute and dressy T-shirts/polo shirts, 2 giant T-shirt/nighties, SIL built me a huge sturdy picnic table and 2 benches, a daughter handmade birdhouse painted, a son 2# box of Godiva chocolates. assorted items from many folks, sunflower whirlygig for the gardens, cute stickers for my mail, a new charcoal grill. The kids even brought hot dogs and all the trimmings and cooked on the grill. Some of them had 1 piece of Godiva and then I put it in the fridge. WOW! I'm exhausted. My youngest grandgirl, 10 yrs. old, baked me a cake, chocolate, chocolate frosting, with lettering Happy Birthday Nana on it. She bought numbers 6 and 4. Her brother Jay C said oh I see you are 94. He turned the 6 upsidedown. My son called me from Kuwait twice today and even sang happy birthday to me. Talk about a perfect birthday. And I cried with the wonderful cards. I am so blessed the way the kids treat me 24/7

Re: How did you spend your Saturday?
Beating the teenage boys off my daughter with a stick, lol. We went to the Warren Sand Dunes at Lake Michigan and had an awesome time. This is my 16 year old. The oldest of 4 girls (and 1 boy) so I better get used to it.
I love the Great Lakes. Next best thing to the ocean!
If the mailman knew that my heart races when the UPS man comes by, would he still bring me freebies?

Re: How did you spend your Saturday?
I went to yard sales(by myself..yeah!). Then we took the kids swimming in the forest.Well,it started raining,so we left.WE ended up getting stuck in the mud.We walked 3 miles(me,dh,6 yr old DD,4 yr old DD,and 22 month old DS).5 people stopped and offered to come back for us(they never did),4 people flat out refused to help. Finally after 4 hours,a very nice man stopped and let us ride in the back of his truck all the way home(about 15 miles)My poor kids are covered in mosquito(sp?) bites. Our van is still stuck(no tow truck will try to get it).We did not have a very good Saturday.
