Is it 5:00 YET?

I go on vacation at 5pm. Leaving Saturday for Mexico & the Caribbean Sea.

Yesterday, I took the only kidlet I had swimming with me at my sister-in-law's house. (McKenna is nearly 5 and the daughter of one of my dot's friends) Got there, got wet, she decided she needed to go bathroom. IN HER SUIT. The smelly, lumpy, very noticable sort of bathroom in her suit. So we come home.

On the way home, a wasp got inside my swimsuit top. Felt something crawling around, reached in, got stung twice. ON MY (( o ))! Okay. Got home, kidlet left at 5, I headed back to my sil's house. Got there, got wet, got bit on the shin by a huge deer fly. Okay. By the time I got home at 10:30, my shin was swollen from knee to ankle, an angry red and very painful.

This morning I can't walk on my leg at all, it's hot to the touch, very sore to the touch. And dh's nephew showed up with his 3 kidlets at 5:50am, instead of 6:45am. My alarm hadn't even gone off yet.

Here's the game...whoever can guess accurately HOW READY I AM for vacation wins a postcard from Playa del Carmen.

If your going to the Carribbean you just might want to take a good bug repellent with you. We go to the U.S. Virgin Islands and they got these things called no see ems. Evil, microscopic biting things..... and if they still get ya get some Stop Bite!

And I betting you are way past ready to start your vacation!!!! Have a great time!!

We've got no see ums in Florida too. Basically, they are gnats but they make evenings miserable in the summer.

Called the doctor concerned about my leg. Made me come right in. On 1500mg cipro and have to go for bloodwork tomorrow to check for Lyme disease. GRRRRRR.
