Re: My Baby Keeps Getting A Rash But What Could Be Causing It??
I know this is going to sound weird, but plain old Vaseline worked on dd when nothing else worked. It was cheap, too. Corn starch works good. So does lot of air. Loose fitting clothes, and making sure the fabrics near dd are not things she are allergic to help, too. Medication for ear infections sometimes causes these problems out of no where. Maybe ask pediatrician if he/she recommends rash care diaper?

Re: My Baby Keeps Getting A Rash But What Could Be Causing It??
On one of the morning radio stations one of the DJ's was discussing how his baby had a horrible rash and how the peditrician told him to make a paste with corn starch and milk of magnesia (sp?) and put it all over his bum. And he said to his disbelief it really worked. It's worth a shot if you have the two things in the house.

Re: My Baby Keeps Getting A Rash But What Could Be Causing It??
Man! Y'all are great! I'm going to try all of these! LOL Something had to work eventually.
Ravenlost, I do use Papmers. When she was first born I used Huggies but then I switched to Papmers because they were usually on sale when the Huggies wasn't. I guess I started using the Pampers when she was about 2 or 3 months old. They are the scented ones too. Hmmm. Maybe that scent is what's bothering her. I do have some Huggies sitting here that i bought on sale last week, so I'll go ahead and start putting those on her and see if that helps too.
Thanks everyone. I'm gonna save this on my computer so I can come back to it as I need to. I'll start at the top of the list and work my way down as something doesn't seem to help. Y'all are the best! {{{{Hugs}}}}

And now that some of you have mentioned it... I remember someone telling me about the Maalox & MOM. I think I have some Maalox already so I'm going to do that now.
I have heard of using tea bags on the arms and legs when they get their shots and that helps but I never thought about using it for this. Thanks!

Re: My Baby Keeps Getting A Rash But What Could Be Causing It??
[QUOTE=cch]I'm dying to know why everyone thinks cloth diapers are so awful! We only use cloth on Lucas and I LOVE it!
My mom used cloth diapers exclusively at home when my brother and I were babies, but did use the disposable diapers when a cloth diaper was not an option. I don't see the big deal either! She seemed to like the cloth diaper option, but this was in the late 70's and early 80's.
OBAMA/BIDEN '08.....It's time for change!
