The New "Louisiana Purchase" Nickel
Has anyone seen this New Nickel yet???

Correct me if I am wrong, but we purchased this land from FRANCE then we kicked all the Native Americans off their land. What exactly are we commemorating with this coin that has a Military hand and a Native American hand grasping hands?
I just think we could have found something more historically correct to commemorate it.....
What is your take on it?

why are we wasting money redesigning money when we are so broke and can't support our schools properly and such?!
Seems to me I have become not only a ford fanatic but a bbs fanatic too, your all contagious!!

And of course it is evident that we can't support our schools - look at the design for the new nickel! LOL! (not that is a funny subject....but I could go on and on about school reform and budgeting!)
