    377 KB Toys stores closing

KB Toys has begun discounts at 377 stores that will shut down in the United States and Puerto Rico after approval of a bankruptcy restructuring Wednesday. Executives also will identify 19 to 115 more stores to close by February 11. Discounts of 20-40% are being taken at the register.

Two of the stores closing are in the Myrtle Beach area. I looked on the web site for KB Toys but store listings are not posted as of this morning. www.kbtoys.com Those interested could call their local stores and see if they are scheduled to be closed.

I just heard about this on the news. They mentioned two stores that will be closing in Rhode Island but I think the one that is at my area mall is staying open.

My son rushed to our local KB's last week only to find it already closed. Hoping the outlet store is still open when we go this week-end

No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.

Stinks...typical though of our industry here in the USA. Job today, gone tomorrow.

Well, my local store was listed. I remember going there after Christmas and the shelves were bare, but I didn't think they were going to close. I just thought they were going to stock it with new stuff. It was really convenient for me when I had to pick up a gift.

Saw this on the news and my grandkids are going to be so disappointed. There is always Toys R Us but KB is at the mall directly across from the "food court"

Maaaaaaaaaan! The K.B.Toys in my city was listed too!
They always had real good markdowns! I'll have to call and find out when they're closing.
