Just curious, are you a free member like me or the all
important GOLD member? I saw some people tonight on there
that I thought might make me join, just curious if anyone
here is a gold member, if so why, if not why?

I used to be gold. But only because I got the membership as a freebie for switching my long distance. Its expired now, but it was fun to be able to contact people. I got in touch with 2 girls from my high school and we are best friends now...

But I wouldnt pay the $36 to join now. The price just keeps going up, its ridiculous.

I'd like to join, but I dont have a cc or checking account with a visa debit card... so I'm pretty much SOL ...lol

I've got a freebie membership

I like to see the new registers. A few of them have registered that I am surprised are still alive because I remember what they were like in school. LOL. Wasn't that long ago.

Here's my advice. Just stay a regular member b/c if u see someone u want to email u can send them like one "free" email and just make sure you stick your email addy in the body of the letter so they can reply. I am a gold member but that is b/c I wanted to communicate w/someone w/o giving out alot of info @first. IE - as a gold member u send the emails through classmates.com, and the "extra" of that feature is it doesnt "expose" your email addy, and it allows you in the message center and you can send emails, and they notify u if your email is read (even if it isnt responded too) I was looking for a long lost relative and my high school sweetheart and was able to find both through there, if you are nosy and want to be able to read all the extra's (ppl's profiles) then its worth it, but if u r just looking for someone you can search for free and when u find them just send them an email and be sure to PUT your email addy in the body of the message or otherwise they will not know how to contact u except thru classmates. OMT I was able to look up someone I was trying to "hide" from (crazy EX) and find out where he is w/o him finding out where I am and sent him a little "note" to see if he was done looking for me and I'd say he was so that was worth my piece of mind.
