Thread: Has anyone had a Colonoscopy?

Well I had it done this morning and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I even watched the whole thing. There was some pain but they gave me more meds & that helped.

I have definatley have colitis. There was another area that was really red & inflamed with a lot of mucus. She didn't really say what that could be. She did biopsy it though & scheduled me for a UGI & SBFT Thursday.

DH was there when she talked to us. I'm glad he was Just like everyone sadi, I don't really remember. They did give me a printout with pics & the findings.

I had mine last week, I called the doctor's office this morning and they still have not got the results back. Said it would be another week. You mean you were awake when they did yours, they knocked me out. I never felt anything, and they told me not to drive for 2 days. I wonder what they gave me. If they found anything strange they would have called me by now. Have a good day

I was awake but very, very relaxed. The gave me Midazolam & Fentanyl.

I'm really thankful she gave me the results today. It's so stressful waiting for them. I do have to go for another test Thursday. Hopefully that will give more answers.

Oh, I do have to wait for the biopsy to come back. She said that will take 2 weeks. Maybe that's what your Dr. is waiting on?

I really wasn't sure if I wanted to watch at first becasue I thought it would be gross but it wasn't so bad.
