Question "Don't Buy Pepsi" Email - Hoax, Joke, or What ?

This is the email I recieved :

Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State Bldg. and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. But, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they did not want to offend anyone.

If this is true then we do not want to offend anyone at the Pepsi
corporate office. If we do not buy any Pepsi product then they will not receive any of our monies. Our money after all does have the words "Under God" on it.

Please pass this word to everyone you know--let your voices be heard.

We want the words "Under God" to be read by every person who buys a can.

HOW FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE?

Wasn't this the same last year ? Wasn't it "COKE" that did some creative graphic design that used only partial phrases from the Pledge ?

But considering the ruckus that was created last year by the same, wouldn't it make sense to use the words from "The Star Spangled Banner" or "America the Beautiful"
(assuming this is a current design and not a rehash of the bruha from Dr. Pepper )

Claim: A new can design for Pepsi includes the text of the Pledge of Allegiance with the words "under God" omitted.

    Status: False.

I'll still buy my Coke's, Pepsi, & Dr.Peppers. I don't need the phase on a can to remind me.
