Elope and have a reception afterward.. That's the best way.. That way everyone B***hes about not getting invited to the wedding.. But they still bring presents. That's what I did the first time and probally will do if and when I ever meet Mr. Right. lol.

Just let me know when! We can go to the Liquid Lounge and then you won't care what any of them say!

I really like the weddings that kids are invited to best. Besides if no kids are invited to the wedding or reception then what about the ringbearer and/or the flower girl? I personally would not go to a wedding if kids weren't allowed but that's just me. My aunt had the best wedding that I have ever been to. Kids were allowed there, I was a kid too then, and my grandma has 17 grandkids, they all were there plus there were lots of other kids there not counting my grandma's grandkids. My cousin was the flower girl and my little brother was the ring bearer. Her wedding was a ton of fun. The DJ played lots of songs that my aunt had picked and she had even told him to play lots for the kids and then the kids got to make requests, he played songs like Y.M.C.A. and the macarana. One of my uncles got up there with us kids and was dancing to the songs with us especially Y.M.C.A. It was a blast. And the wedding was very nice and the reception was at night, I remember between the wedding and reception it was like a whole days thing.

Just makes ya wonder..all those people that complain about what they didn't like at weddings, etc...have they ever had to plan one and see what all goes into it? I even took a course in wedding consulting and its a whole different world when you're planning your own.

and nooo way on the eloping...even that would turn into a fiasco I'm sure with our neurotic families

    miccit..ya gotta date!

I was reading a Dear Abby column today. This woman was complaining that she'd received a wedding invitation, and it contained a message that the bride and groom didn't have the money to pay for the wedding, so they were requesting a $330 per person donation from everyone who planned to attend! Talk about B@!!$ !!
