Yes! Weight Watchers works! The program teaches you to choose healthy foods over non-healthy. You don't have to attend the support classes if you don't want to either.

I have a few cousins that have done quite well on it...myself, I think it has too many carbs. However, here is a really good website an old coworker gave me awhile back. I think you will find it quite informative. www.dwlz.com Good luck!

I lost 30 lbs doing WW. I really recommend it. You just have to put your mind to do it. It is so much easier than anything else I tried to lose weight.

I did it for 12 weeks....(only about 6 of those weeks did I really try...2 weeks, I tried half arsed and the rest, just went to the meetings and ate whatever I wanted!) I lost 6 pounds the first week (h20, I'm sure) but then lost another 6 after that. I quit and the most of the weight came back. I noticed the weeks I didn't stay for the meetings, just weighed and paid, I didn't do as good...I think the meetings do really help somehow! But at $12 a meeting, it was stupid to pay it if I wasn't gonna follow the program. There were times, when I'd have to eat something at nite just to get all my pts in for the day! Good Luck to ya!!

I lost 20 pounds on WW, and have kept it off for a year! I am ready to start again, I just do not have the discipline at this time. It is a great program! Good luck!

wow thanks for the input I have a lot to shed. I think this would teach me how to discipline my eating habits, the meeting are $14.00 where I live and now free registration I think that is a good price.

My mother has been doing Weight Watchers for about a year and a half now. She had ALOT of weight to lose but was unable to exercise due to heel spurs and bad knees. She has had great success with this program even though she's not able to do the exercise most programs recommend. She has gone from about a 26 to approximately an 18 or maybe a 16 by now.
