Dare To Trust
You may remember the old story of two men who ordered beers in a
bar. One of them threw down some bottle caps in payment. "What's this?" asked the bartender.
The other man motioned him aside and said in hushed tones, "That's my uncle. He's a little confused. Just humor him, okay? Then I'll settle up with you later."
The server agreed and the men continued drinking beer until the bartender finally came over and said to the second man, "It's closing time. How about settling up with me now."
"How many bottle caps do you have?" the guy asked.
"Twenty-four."
"Fair enough," he replied. "Do you have change for a manhole cover?"
Though the story is silly, it raises the question of whom we can trust. In business, we may get "stiffed." In love, we may get "burned." Even good friends may let you down; lovers may betray; strangers may disappoint. So do we simply decide never to trust? Or is never trusting a no-fail recipe for misery?
The truth is, a healthy and happy life can only thrive in an atmosphere of trust. Truly happy people know that trust is as essential as the air they breathe. They believe that friends can also be counted on, lovers do show faith, and strangers will often come through.
And the truth is, they are usually right!

I want someone to trust, I got burned now twice by my husband, cheating, and leaving me once again.
I know it's out there, and I'm not gonna let my heart be hardened, cause then I will be the looser.
