    Lightbulb need some computer help pleaseeee!!!

    ok.. I know i've seen this posted here somewhere before.

    my hubby was on the computer a couple of days ago and when he got off of it and i got back on, the colors are all messed up and my screen resolution is 640x480 pixels... how do I fix it?? I have a thingy that pops up and says something about the driver being updated or installed...

    If anyone could help... I'll be indebeted to you FOREVER!!!

    go to "start", "control panel", "appearance & themes", and then to "change the screen resolution" Once you're in the screen resolution page go to "settings" and you can change the colors back in there. Mine is set to 32 bit, I think. lol

    Also, my computer has windows xp, so these directions may be a little off for your computer if you have a different windows version.

    I run "ME" got to your start button, click on settings, click on control panel, click on display, go to the settings tab, and adjust it to whatever you normally use. I use 800x600.
    Does it really matter?

    i've done that jade and then it'll tell me I need to restart my computer for changes to take effect. So I restart and nothing .. still the same thing. Any other suggestiong????

    Ughh... I'm always telling hubby and the kids.. dont get on it unless you know what your doing... that way if something messes up, I've got nobody to blame but myself..lol

    Only thing i can suggest is that you try going into the advanced button and see what your display modes are set to. Try setting them to the default options. HTH

    Right click on the desktop
    Left click on Properties: What are the settings here?
    Click on the advanced tab
    Here you should be able to change the settings to apply without rebooting
    Click on the adapter tab
    Click on Properties
    Here you will have some information on the Monitor drivers and it should tell you if they are working correctly
    If are not working correctly you may want to update or reinstall the drivers. Let me know if this helps.
