go to "start", "control panel", "appearance & themes", and then to "change the screen resolution" Once you're in the screen resolution page go to "settings" and you can change the colors back in there. Mine is set to 32 bit, I think. lol
Also, my computer has windows xp, so these directions may be a little off for your computer if you have a different windows version.

I run "ME" got to your start button, click on settings, click on control panel, click on display, go to the settings tab, and adjust it to whatever you normally use. I use 800x600.

Ughh... I'm always telling hubby and the kids.. dont get on it unless you know what your doing... that way if something messes up, I've got nobody to blame but myself..lol

Only thing i can suggest is that you try going into the advanced button and see what your display modes are set to. Try setting them to the default options. HTH

Right click on the desktop
Left click on Properties: What are the settings here?
Click on the advanced tab
Here you should be able to change the settings to apply without rebooting
Click on the adapter tab
Click on Properties
Here you will have some information on the Monitor drivers and it should tell you if they are working correctly
If are not working correctly you may want to update or reinstall the drivers. Let me know if this helps.
