That was my choice too. But Hubby said nobody was touchin him there unless he was dead.
Sorry, but this made me spew coffee all over the monitor. Reminds me of Sarah and her cadaver, Bernie, in med school. Seems his wobbly bits were always getting in her way when she was trying to do something. (Bernie died with a rather large projectile) Well, last week in lab, after nearly a semester, seems his wobbly bits fell off. Onto the floor.

I have an IUD..
I get spotting for 2 days, REALLY heavy bleeding for 2 days and nasty cramps, and then spotting, then done.
It's not too bad after you get used to it. Be prepared to stay on the pill still for 3 months until your cycle gets regular.
"Can't you just give me a warning"? "Sure. Don't do that again or I'll give you another ticket!"

then I took the depo shot.. was on it for 1 yr.. after I got off it took me a year and a half to get preggo with my 2nd..
I got pregnant with my 3rd .. took the pills for a month(if that) and havent been on anything since. And have been lucky enough to not get pregnant. Though I'd like 1 more(ONLY IF ITS A GIRL THOUGH >>LOL)

Well that just gave me a really ugly image of the sponge marketed as Sponge Bob. Make it go away!

Here's my depo story. I went on depo in March 2001 after my fiancee and I met. Until then I had never used comercial birth control. My olny form of bc I used when I was married was very strong lemonade. Drank at least 2 glasses a day and worked until i skipped and got preggers lol. Anyway, I had alot of weight gain on depo, 100+ lbs and this past fall started developing fuild retention in my hands, feet, and ankles. Talked to my ob/gyn and he wasn't concerned even tho I have a strong family history of heart disease. Talked to my general practioner and after much begging she took me off depo given my family history. I was on the nuvaring for a couple of months but didn't really help. Now I'm not on any birth control and winging it with my fiancee. If we get preggers, it will be a blessing. I thought depo was a god send til it almost killed me with congestive heart failure. It works for some but not others. It's also not the best birth control for long term management. After 2 yrs of treatment the rate of female sterility increases and sex drive decreases. Hope this helps.

I think the answer to your question really depends on body chemistry. Each person is different. What works for you might not work for me and vice versa. For example, many of friends take Ortho Tri Cylene and that stuff makes me the moodiest ***** monster from hell! *I* didn't like me when I was on it. It turns out I am very sensitive to hormones and the changing levels of most pills was too much for me. I tried prolly about four pills before the doc put me on Loestrin. It's a very low dose pill so it's perfect for me. I have been on it two years now and I love it! No side effects at all.
I would suggest doing some research and maybe trying several different brands. I would definitely use pills becuase it clears your body faster if there are adverse effects. I'm not much of a pill person either but try to find a time of day you do something so you can take the pills then. For instance, do you wake up or go to bed at the same time? Or do you have to be at work at a certain time? You may need to experiment a little. Good luck!

I will NEVER take Depo again! I never had a prob with it, untill I started paying more attention to my body, acne, weight gain, hair loss, it was unbearable! I decided to get a copper IUD in a couple of months ago. I love it! Except that my cycle is all messed up, but I have been taking a natural progestrone cream for that, which is also helping my skin! I dont have to worry about birth control for almost 10 years the the IUD! (or untill I can get my tubes tied.) I do not want to be on any type of artifical hormones. I have been reading too many books on cancer and artifical hormones, and I do not like what I am reading. too scary.
