Is there a "Search" for prior posts?

First off I have very few posts, but have been coming to this board for a couple years. I log on once a day and view the "posts since my last visit". There are usually 20 or so pages of new posts. Many are duplicates. Is there a "search" feature that would allow a user to check if what they want to post is a duplicate post? If there is one, why not use it? If there isn't a feature to accomadate this, should there be one?

Yes there is one...look on top of your page here....it IS used but not always working really good or it misses things. Don't dwell on it.

If you are looking for just your posts, look at the box where you just posted, at the bottom of it, there are buttons, that say profile pm search buddy, click on search and you will get all your posts, if it is within a post someone else made, if you click on it, you can look at all their posts. here is the result for yours:
