Well, here it is, day 9.

    My Milage:

    Todays Date: 06/05/2002
    My Quit Date: 05/27/2002
    Smoke-Free Days: 9
    Cigarettes Not Smoked: 95
    Amount Saved: $15.51
    Life Gained:
    Days: 1 Hrs: 4 Mins: 56 Seconds: 43

    I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!!

The cravings are so few and far between now, and not nearly as strong. I will NEVER go back! I do not want to relive Day 3 ever again. I haven't really noticed feeling any healthier, but I do have more energy. I'm not falling asleep at work like I used to. My finacee' is so happy, he has never smoked in his life and had to live with my smoke. I hope everything is going well for everyone else. Hang in there, it gets better.
Some mornings it's not worth the effort of chewing through the restraints.

As you can see I am on day 23 and this is the first day I have put "getting alot easier" down at the habitrol sight. Last night was also the first time I actually noticed a difference health wise. I came up the basement stairs with laundry and was not out of breath for the first time in ...well a long time!!!! So I know my lung capacity is increasing. Hopped on a diet Mon. and am so dang fixated on food I really haven't thought about cigs for 3 days now
Next Mon. I join the gym where my daughter works and start working on getting in shape....hubby said he wasn't sure who the heck I was but I sure wans't his wife..she smokes, eats like a crazy and the thought of a walk would just get a smart a@@ remark from her.....hmmmmm, come to think of it I don't really reconize myself either hope I can keep it all up...the smoking I KNOW I CAN!!

Good luck to everyone who is trying..no succeeding at quitting and remember if you slip, just try again!

    Now anyone got a twinkie???

    Hello Everyone,
I am just checking in. I am so glad to see we( the quitters) are making so much progress. It took me awhile to get started on being smoke free. For me it was a huge mental addiction and I had to work on that too. Right now I am having a major craving so I am off to do some Tae-Bo . I hope everyone continues to be smoke free.
My buddy fishmansbetrhalf is so supportive. This would be alot tougher without her Thanks Buddy

To whomever posted the website about the victims (smokers) who died to young, Thank You so much, I've quit for about 8 weeks now and every once an while I still get a craving But I've promised myself before I ever pick up another cigarette I have got to spend at least 15 minutes looking at this website and then if I still want a cigarette I can have one, which isn't going to happen if I stick to my promise and spend some time at that website. I put it in my saved list so that I can find it easily. Thank You.
