I did that one years ago and yep it worked but hard to do it now cause with the kids and all I have a hard time telling them to eat their veggies and stuff when I don't BUT at the same time I am thinking that I just might have to do that cause I refuse to put on a ton of weight at this point in life. I mean what is the point of getting rid of smoking if I am just gonna turn into a cow lol

I quit smoking this past January and refused to gain weight (or use that as an excuse!) .. I quit smoking AND lost 20 lbs .. so it can be done. Yes, I did join Weight Watchers, but I still lost the weight and I am still not smoking.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

That's great misty! I work out everyday (almost) so I really don't think a big weight gain will be a problem. I just can't sop smoking very long at a time.

For me I just had to program myself that I wasn't going to substitute the lack of smokes with food.
Hippie, I would bet because you work out often that you will be less apt to gain weight .. or not gain as much.
A lot of ppl don't want to quit smoking because they are afraid of gaining weight and you don't have to gain weight because you quit smoking. It's all mental .. just get past the mental issues and you'll be fine. I don't mean to sound like it's easy, cause it's not .. but it is possible.
When you quit smoking and want to put food in your mouth go do something instead .. take a walk, ride your bike, read a book, drink a glass of water.
