    Talking

I'm glad SOMEONE has confidence in me! It's hard, none of my friends understand, they are all smokers and think that IF they get ready they can just lay them down (I think they can too, it's just they don't understand that unless their fingers are broken they will be promptly picking them back up! LOL). I have conversations with myself and am so afraid of the smoker inside winning out! But thanks for your support! Trust me it helps alot!

I am ashamed to admit it but I am smoking again. I feel so horrible about it because I am constantly sneaking a cigarette here and there. But nevertheless being able to come here and getting this out is helping.I feel somewhat relieved to say this to someone. Please pray for me that I may once again be victorious in becoming a non-smoker again. I started again in the heat of the moment because I was having a arguement with my husband. Boy if I could turn back the hands of time. Thanks for listening and thanks for the support.

What do you mean constantly sneaking a cigarette here and there? Who are you hiding it from? Yourself is all that matters and you can't sneak and hide from yourself. You made a slip up and that is ok as long as you keep trying. I may slip up today who knows? (Came close yesterday. Just set another quit date and start again. We can do it! (Remind me later that I said that! LOL)

Maybe I'm stupid and naive but I believe that if I had known 24 years ago that it would be this hard to give smoking up I would have never started. People who don't smoke, tend to not understand for the most part but I wish I had understood and not ever started!

OMG! Do you realize what you have done?? You are becoming a QUITTER!! Gosh, I am very proud of you!! I so was looking forward to reading your stats today

Also, Auntnanny, have you identified your triggers yet? Are you changing other habits to help you? I know you can do this..remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE

I have posted again in the stopsmokingcenter to you again

To all you others who are in process of your quit, or who has been considering quitting..NOW is the time...dont delay stopping only delay smoking!! Trust me it makes a gigantic difference ANd you will have support here!!

    Cartoon of the day

    Tip of the day
MAKE A LIST OF YOUR REASONS FOR WANTING TO QUIT. Write them down and carry them with you. Read them whenever you are tempted to smoke.

THINK POSITIVELY. Believe in yourself. Remind yourself every day that you can quit.
    Be positive:

Avoid the guilt; don’t allow a slip-up to stop you.
Save the money you would have lost buying tobacco.
    Reward yourself for not smoking.
Tell everyone you’re going to stop!
    Remember the FIVE "D"s

Thanks so much for checking! I thought you guys forgot about me! LOL
I am still a non-smoker although I will admit I thought by now it would be easier. I have tried to quit in the past and I never remember it being this hard after the first 24 hours. (In the past I have always caved to major stress, death in family etc.). I just pray it gets easier today! Thanks for the 5 D's. I'm gonna try and print it to a business card to carry in my pocket.
