IRONY: Democrats Building a ‘Wall’ Around DNC Convention
By Kimberly Morin
This is priceless hypocrisy at its finest and no you can’t make this stuff up.
Security for the DNC convention later this summer has stated they will be adding a ‘perimeter’ around the convention. Why? To keep people out.
That’s right, Democrats want to keep people who don’t belong at the convention OUT of it by putting up a wall.
And to get in - you have to have an ID

9 INSANE Things In The New Democratic Party Platform
The Democratic National Committee has released excerpts from its new platform – and it’s even more insanely extreme than the old platform. More so, as we’ll see. Here are the top nine lowlights from the party of Bernie Sanders: https://demconvention.com/news/democ...ing-concludes/
1. Prosecute People Who Disagree With The Theory of Anthropogenic Climate Change. According to the platform, it’s not enough to back climate change legislation – those who donate to groups like the Heartland Institute that make the case that fossil fuels are not the chief contributors to climate change must be actively prosecuted:
Another joint proposal calling on the Department of Justice to investigate alleged corporate fraud on the part of fossil fuel companies who have reportedly misled shareholders and the public on the scientific reality of climate change was also adopted by unanimous consent.
2. Embrace Of $15 Minimum Wage. The left’s obsession with the number “15” comes to a head in this latest proposal. They can’t explain just why $15 per hour should be the minimum wage – why should Kansas companies pay the same minimum wage as Seattle ones? – but they’re all for it, no matter how many jobs they kill:
Acknowledging that the current minimum wage is a starvation wage, the platform draft already included language declaring that Americans should earn at least $15 an hour, that the minimum wage should be raised and indexed, and that all workers have the right to form and join a union. It also includes a call to end sub-minimum wage for tipped workers and people with disabilities.
Note the addition here about tipped workers – they want to eliminate tips for waiters and waitresses, many of whom formally work for less than minimum wage but earn far more with tips.
3. Abolishing The Death Penalty. This is the first time the Democrats have ever explicitly called for abolishing the death penalty, although they’ve been moving toward this morally nonsensical position for quite a while. They’re all for the death penalty for unborn babies, however…
4. Abortion For Everybody On Earth, And You Pay. According to the platform:
The platform also vows to oppose, and seek to overturn, all federal and state laws that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment. It also strongly supports the repeal of harmful restrictions that obstruct women’s access to healthcare around the world, including the Global Gag Rule and the Helms Amendment, which bars US assistance to other countries that provide safe, legal, abortion.
The Hyde Amendment bars federal taxpayer funding for abortion. So you get to pay for everybody else’s abortion. They want all restrictions on abortion overturned, including partial birth abortion. They want American taxpayers to foot the bill for abortion overseas.
5. Protectionism Is Back! Thanks to Bernie Sanders, the Democrats now embrace trade protectionism to “protect worker’s rights” against the scourge of “corporate profits.” That will only cost a few million jobs.
6. Increase Entitlement Programs To Bankrupt The Country. 2011 marked the first year on record where Social Security took in less money than it paid out, but the Democrats aim to make that permanent:
The Democratic Platform makes clear that not only will Democrats fight every effort to cut, privatize, or weaken Social Security, but we will in fact expand it while requiring those at the top to pay more. And pursuant to an amendment crafted by members McKibben and Tanden, the Committee added language that said we would we would achieve this goal by taxing some of the income of people above $250,000.
Taxes at this level simply won’t cover this burden. The math doesn’t add up.
7. Amnesty For Virtually All. The new Democratic platform adds several provisions designed to keep illegal immigrants in America at all costs: “keeping families together, ending family detention, closing private detention centers, and guaranteeing legal counsel for all unaccompanied minors in immigration proceedings.” In other words, release everybody into the wind -- the vast majority of detainees are in private detention centers -- and force ICE to find attorneys for everyone who they want to deport. This means everybody gets to stay, folks.
8. Nationalized Healthcare. Remember when the left said it was racist to accuse the Obama administration of aiming for government-run healthcare? Now they’re calling for it openly: they want “access to public coverage through Medicare or a public option.” This is called nationalized health care, given that subsidized medical programs will always be cheaper than private programs and will never go bankrupt, since they can actively confiscate wealth from citizens to pay for their deficits.
9. Increasing Crime. The left’s surrender to Black Lives Matter is complete:
The current draft calls for ending the era of mass incarceration, shutting down private prisons, ending racial profiling, reforming the grand jury process, investing in re-entry programs, banning the box to help give people a second chance and prioritizing treatment over incarceration for individuals suffering addiction. The Committee also voted unanimously to recognize the role activists and recent movements have played in putting these issues front and center in the national conversation, as they should be.
There is no era of “mass incarceration.” There are criminals who have committed crimes going to prison. Grand juries aren’t the problem in America – criminals are. Racial profiling has been illegal across the country for years, but behavioral profiling certainly is not. And forcing private businesses not to ask about prior crimes is ridiculous.
The DNC has moved further to the left. Of course. And they won't stop that gradual slide into madness any time soon. After all, with the help of a compliant media, they're winning.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced Sunday she is stepping down as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee at the end of the party's convention, which is set to begin here Monday.
The Florida congresswoman's resignation -- under pressure from top Democrats -- comes amid the release of leaked emails showing DNC staffers favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the party's 2016 primary contest.
Her announcement that she was leaving had pro-Sanders supporters cheering during a demonstration in Philadelphia and Donald Trump crowing, too.
In her statement, Wasserman Schultz said that she remains committed to seeing Clinton elected president. She talked with both President Barack Obama and Clinton before making her announcement, a Democratic source said.
"Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention," Wasserman Schultz said in the statement.
"As Party Chair, this week I will open and close the Convention and I will address our delegates about the stakes involved in this election not only for Democrats, but for all Americans," she continued.
She may briefly address the delegates on Monday for a few minutes, a scenario to which the Clinton and Sanders campaigns have tentatively agreed, sources said.
Wasserman Schultz had faced intense pressure over the weekend to quit her post, several Democratic leaders told CNN, urging her to quell a growing controversy threatening to disrupt Clinton's nominating convention.
Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid wanted her out even before the leaked DNC emails scandal broke and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wouldn't lift a finger to try and save her House colleague, sources said.
Sanders issued a statement calling for a new direction for the party that would welcome the working class and young voters -- and remain neutral in future Democratic primary contests.
"Debbie Wasserman Schultz has made the right decision for the future of the Democratic Party," Sanders said.
"While she deserves thanks for her years of service, the party now needs new leadership that will open the doors of the party and welcome in working people and young people," he added. "The party leadership must also always remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race."
DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile will serve as interim chair through the election, it was announced Sunday. She is a CNN political commentator.
Separately, a Democratic operative said Hispanic leaders close to Clinton and her high command were discussing Housing Secretary Julian Castro as a possible successor to Wasserman Schultz at the DNC helm, among a number of other possible candidates.
Chants of "Debbie is done!" and "Debbie resigned!" broke out at a pro-Sanders rally in Philadelphia after the news was announced.
Party officials decided Saturday that Wasserman Schultz would not have a major speaking role or preside over daily convention proceedings this week. The DNC Rules Committee has named Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, as permanent chair of the convention, according to a DNC source. She will gavel each session to order and will gavel each session closed.
"She's been quarantined," another top Democrat said of Wasserman Schultz, following a meeting Saturday night but before her announcement that she was leaving.
Both sides of the aisle react
Earlier Sunday, David Axelrod, a former top adviser to Obama's presidential campaigns and a CNN senior political commentator, said Wasserman Schultz should resign.
"I would ask her to step aside. I would ask her to step aside because she's a distraction in a week that is Hillary Clinton's week," Axelrod told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."
After she announced she was out, Axelrod tweeted, "I find this quibbling over whether @DWStweets leaves now or Friday silly. What difference does it make? She's out. She's leaving. Move on!"
Obama issued a statement, saying, "For the last eight years, Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had my back. This afternoon, I called her to let her know that I am grateful."
And Clinton thanked Wasserman Schultz for her leadership of the party.
"I am grateful to Debbie for getting the Democratic Party to this year's historic convention in Philadelphia, and I know that this week's events will be a success thanks to her hard work and leadership," Clinton said.
Trump also weighed in, tweeting and misspelling Wasserman Schultz's name, "Today proves what I have always known, that @Reince Priebus is the tough one and the smart one, not Debbie Wasserman Shultz (@DWStweets.)"
Later, he tweeted, "Crooked Hillary Clinton was not at all loyal to the person in her rigged system that pushed her over the top, DWS. Too bad Bernie flamed out."
Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort said Clinton should follow Wasserman Schultz out the door.
"Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned over her failure to secure the DNC's email servers and the rigged system she set up with the Clinton campaign," he said in a statement. "Now Hillary Clinton should follow Wasserman Schultz's lead and drop out over her failure to safeguard top secret, classified information both on her unauthorized home server and while traveling abroad."
DNC hack: What you need to know
Wasserman Schultz already had reluctantly agreed to relinquish her speaking role at the convention here. She remains a convention superdelegate.
Her stewardship of the DNC has been under fire through most of the presidential primary process, but her removal from the convention stage comes following the release of nearly 20,000 emails.
One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they can reference Sanders' faith to weaken him in the eyes of Southern voters. Another seems to depict an attorney advising the committee on how to defend Clinton against an accusation by the Sanders campaign of not living up to a joint fundraising agreement.
Sanders: No question DNC was supporting Hillary Clinton 02:08
Before the announcement, Sanders on Sunday told Tapper the release of the DNC emails that show its staffers working against him underscores the position he's held for months: Wasserman Schultz needs to go.
"I don't think she is qualified to be the chair of the DNC, not only for these awful emails, which revealed the prejudice of the DNC, but also because we need a party that reaches out to working people and young people, and I don't think her leadership style is doing that," Sanders told Tapper on "State of the Union," on the eve of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
"I am not an atheist," he said. "But aside from all of that, it is an outrage and sad that you would have people in important positions in the DNC trying to undermine my campaign. It goes without saying: The function of the DNC is to represent all of the candidates -- to be fair and even-minded."
He added: "But again, we discussed this many, many months ago, on this show, so what is revealed now is not a shock to me."
'It's gas meets flame'
The publication of the emails comes just a weekend before the start of the Democratic convention, where a major objective for Clinton will be to unify the Democratic party by winning over Sanders' voters.
Several Democratic sources told CNN that the leaked emails are a big source of contention and may inflame tensions between the Clinton and Sanders camps.
"It could threaten their agreement," one Democrat said, referring to the deal reached between Clinton and Sanders about the convention, delegates and the DNC. The party had agreed to include more progressive principles in its official platform and, as part of the agreement, Sanders dropped his fight to contest Wasserman Schultz as the head of the DNC.
"It's gas meets flame," the Democrat said.
The issue surfaced on Saturday at Clinton's first campaign event with Tim Kaine as her running mate, when a protester was escorted out of Florida International University in Miami. The protester shouted "DNC leaks" soon after Clinton thanked Wasserman Schultz for her leadership at the DNC.
The DNC has previously had its files hacked by an individual named "Guccifer 2.0" that may have had ties to the Russians.
Hackers stole opposition research on Donald Trump from the DNC's servers in mid-June. Two separate Russian intelligence-linked cyberattack groups were both in the DNC's networks.
This story is being updated frequently with new developments and additional information.
CNN's Dana Bash, Manu Raju, Theodore Schleifer, Eugene Scott, Chris Frates, Elizabeth Landers, Brianna Keilar, Dan Merica, Ziris Savage and Betsy Klein contributed to this report.

Can't find the article - seems that the DNC was on CNN this morning blaming the wikileaks of the emails on Russian Spies trying to get Trump elected.

Clinton's campaign manager: Russia helping Trump
By Eric Bradner, CNN Updated 1703 GMT (0103 HKT) July 24, 2016
Hillary Clinton's campaign manager is alleging that Russian hackers are leaking Democratic National Committee emails critical of Bernie Sanders in an effort to help Donald Trump win the election in November.
It comes on the heels of "changes to the Republican platform to make it more pro-Russian," Robby Mook told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" Sunday.
"I don't think it's coincidental that these emails were released on the eve of our convention here, and I think that's disturbing," he said.
Mook pointed to Trump's position on NATO -- that he wouldn't necessarily assist allies who haven't contributed enough financially to the organization -- and argued that position would aid Russia in Eastern Europe, as well.
"I think when you put all this together, it's a disturbing picture, and voters need to reflect on that," Mook said.
Trump's campaign seized on Mook's comments, using them to attack Clinton as a candidate who "will do and say anything" to win.
"What a joke," Trump senior communications adviser Jason Miller said in a statement. "This shows that Hillary Clinton will do and say anything to win the election and hold onto power in the rigged system."
Donald Trump Jr., the son of the Republican nominee, also bashed Mook's comments later on "State of the Union."
"It just goes to show you their exact moral compass. I mean they'll say anything to be able to win this. This is time and time again, lie after lie," Trump Jr. told Tapper. "It's disgusting. It's so phony. I watched him bumble through the interview."
He added "These lies and the perpetuating of nonsense to try to gain some political capital is outrageous and he should be ashamed of himself. If a Republican did that, they'd be calling for people to bring out the electric chair."
Mook downplayed the possibility that the email release will rip open divides between supporters of Clinton and Sanders just before the Democratic National Convention kicks off in Philadelphia.
"The DNC needs to take appropriate steps, and I'm confident that they will," he said.

CNN Benches Donna Brazile As She Takes Top DNC Role;
Wikileaks Says Email “Implicated” Her In Scandal
by Erik Pedersen - July 24, 2016 3:39pm
CNN has parted ways with political commentator Donna Brazile — at least for now — in the wake of her taking the DNC reins from Debbie Wasserman Schultz. “With news of Donna Brazile stepping in as interim chair for the Democratic National Committee,” the network said, “CNN and Brazile have mutually agreed to temporarily suspend her contract as a contributor for the network effective immediately. As a valued voice and commentator, CNN will revisit the contract once Brazile concludes her role.”
Fox News did the same with Newt Gingrich earlier this month amid rumors that he was on the shortlist to be Donald Trump’s running mate. FNC also cut ties with its then-pundit Mike Huckabee in January 2015 as he eyed a presidential run.
Brazile had been a regular contributor to CNN’s political coverage, usually introduced as “a Hillary Clinton supporter” when she took part in panel discussions. She also served as campaign manager for Al Gore’s failed run for the White House in 2000.
Meanwhile, hours after Brazile was announced as the interim replacement for Wasserman Schultz, the group whose email dump helped lead to the latter’s resignation has a new target. Wikileaks tweeted today an email exchange that it says “implicated” Brazile in the scandal over party officials’ alleged favoritism of Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders:
Minutes later, the organization that prides itself on spilling government secrets posted another tweet decrying what it says is a smear campaign from the Clinton camp, which said the email leak came from Russian agents:
Clinton campaign pushing lame conspiracy smear that we are Russian agents. Last time we were Mossad. Get it right.
Neither Clinton nor Brazile had an immediate response to the Wikileaks tweets.
Friday’s email dump and today’s news about Wasserman Schultz and Brazile have combined to throw the Democratic National Committee into turmoil on the eve of its national convention. The four-day confab kicks off Monday in Philadelphia, with presumptive nominee Clinton slated to give her acceptance speech on Thursday. Donald Trump’s victory-lap speech at last week’s Republican National Convention drew more than 32 million viewers across multiple networks.

My take-away from this article is more important to me than simply the Bernie nonsense.
Check the date of the email. Why are people from the DNC asking Brazile for advice/comments. Is she on staff?
It seems that CNN was a little late in parting company with her. I suspect she never stopped being part of the DNC. She has the same morals too.
..
Hmm… Last week Donna Brazile was an “Impartial” CNN commentator at the Republican Convention. This week she is the interim head of the DNC. Sorry, CNN has no impartiality. They are just a mouthpiece for the Democrats. Oh how I yearn for the old days of truly impartial news and not this infotainment drivel we get fed by the networks.

Wikileaks dumped 19,000 DNC emails that contain mountains of incriminating evidence against the massively corrupt Democrat party.
Here are the top 5 most damaging stories found SO FAR.
Make sure to share this with other people who need to know the truth about Crooked Hillary and her Corrupt Democrat party.
The 5 Most Devastating Scoops From WikiLeaks’ DNC Emails… SPREAD THESE EVERYWHERE
By now, most political junkies have heard that the WikiLeaks DNC emails have shown yet again that the Democrat Party fixed the 2016 nomination to go Hillary Clinton’s way. Just how bad was it, though?
It’s a lot worse than the media are reporting, especially since some of the media is involved in the scandal. Here are the top five revelations that will absolutely devastate the Democratic National Committee from the WikiLeaks email dump.
#1: NBC’s Chuck Todd apparently takes orders from DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
We all knew that the deadly serpent of liberalism had long since enveloped the Kingdom of the Peacock, but we’d at least have hoped that Chuck Todd was immune. Todd’s role is no small deal — as host of “Meet the Press,” he’s more or less supposed to be the most unbiased political voice on the network.
However, when Debbie Wasserman Schultz told Todd that “this must stop” in response to something another NBC host is saying, he was willing to schedule a call with her:
Something tells me that a) Reince Priebus wouldn’t get this treatment and b) Debbie Wasserman Schultz won’t be the only one facing calls for resignation.
#2: Hillary Clinton had to pay people to support her online.
How pathetic is Hillary Clinton’s campaign? Pathetic enough that she has to pay people to support her.
While we’ve already reported this, it bears repeating: so few people feel strongly enough about Hillary Clinton’s campaign, she actually has to pay them to care.
#3: Fake protests.
Hillary Clinton’s online support isn’t the only thing being faked. Those protests you see the media covering so frequently against conservatives and the Republican Party? It looks like interns are also being sent out to those to look bigger than they are.
Apparently, if they don’t “deliver bodies in time,” they look like this, from Danger & Play:
That, on the right, is the protest they were talking about. Whoops.
#4: The Washington Post hosts DNC fundraisers.
Oh, the capital’s paper of record? Yeah, they’re in the DNC’s pocket, too.
Here’s the email, with the subject line “WaPo Party”:
Where are Woodward and Bernstein when you need them? That’s right — choosing between the chicken and fish at a DNC fundraiser.
#5: Oh, and just in case you forgot, the Democratic primary process was completely rigged for Hillary Clinton.
Point, set, match, Trump.

Michelle Obama stepped into the 2016 presidential election Monday by taking numerous swipes at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during her address to the Democratic National Convention address.
The First lady once again proved how divisive the Democrat party is by race-baiting.
“I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves,” Obama said. “And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent black young women playing with their dogs on the white House lawn.”
She condemned Trump’s candidacy by imploring voters to reject the notion that America isn’t already great.
But Mrs. Obama’s reassurance to us about America’s greatness rings hollow, considering a mere 8 years ago she declared that nothing was great about America until her husband ran for president.
Talk about narcissism.
Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama have spent over $71 million on lavish vacations, according to a heavily redacted report released by the Secret Service last December. That’s about $10.1 million per year in known expenses. http://www.investors.com/politics/an...llion-dollars/
Now that the American people paying for her extravagant lifestyle FLOTUS is proud.
By the way, the White House was not built solely — or even primarily — by slaves. http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/u...-are-the-facts
