The righteous anger that should be poured out in response to these true horrors is bottled and contained, clogging up our souls like constipated bowels.

We search desperately for an acceptable target for our surplus of withheld scorn, and when we locate it, we unload like we just chugged a gallon of laxative. Suddenly, some guy who killed a lion in Zimbabwe receives all of the compiled disdain that should have been discharged on the abortionists and the pornographers and the persecutors. Our pent up rage and anger mixes with guilt and self-loathing, and together it creates this concentrated bile that drowns and destroys whatever tragic chump they throw before us to be devoured. It’s nothing personal against him, really. Walter Palmer is a sacrificial lamb. A punching bag, strung up and dangled in front of progressive America as a way for them to release their moral frustrations. He’s an object. A receptacle for their misdirected vengeance. It’s like self-flagellation, only minus the self. And next week they’ll be flagellating some other patsy, and nobody will even remember or care about poor old Walter Palmer.

A year from now, someone will do a follow up story about that villainous dentist from long ago, and we’ll all think, “Oh yeah, whatever happened to that guy?” Then we’ll see that he lost his business, his family, and his dignity, and now lives as a sad shell of a forgotten man. “Serves him right for doing whatever he did,” we’ll say proudly, as we get back to feasting upon the newest Scoundrel Du Jour. It’s a never ending pattern, played out over and over again by a progressive culture filled with craven wimps, always compensating for their moral failings by tearing down false Satans, too afraid to do battle with the real one.

You might wonder how progressives choose their new devils and new gods. Why Walter Palmer? Why Cecil the Lion? Well, there’s a randomness to it, of course. And there are always the superfluous reasons, like the fact that most of the members of the lynch mob probably have fond memories of “The Lion King.” But I think, more fundamentally, progressives choose to care about lions because lions are an abstraction. They care about the idea of lions.

Real lions are all the way in Africa, or else contained in zoos. You can go and see them, or watch them on TV, or read about them, but crucially, lions will never ask anything from us. Our affection for them presents no challenges. We don’t have to accommodate them. I can say I love lions, but this love will never require me to do anything. Lions will never inconvenience me. They’ll never get in my way. I can defend the lives of lions by angrily Tweeting about hunters, and then I can go on my way, live however I want, and never be asked to change my lifestyle for their sake.

People, on the other hand, are real. They are here. They impose themselves on our lives. They burden us. They surround us. To care about people is hard. It requires us to live, act, think, and speak differently. We have to accommodate people. We have to tolerate people. We have to do things for people, especially the most vulnerable and helpless people. It’s no coincidence that progressivism advocates abortion to deal with children, and euthanasia to handle the old and the infirm. If it is going to pretend to love human beings at all, it must first get rid of the most burdensome types.

It can be hard to love people. And if you say you love people, life is going to constantly demand that you prove it. If you say you love people, you certainly can’t kill your own child, and you can’t support the killing of children, and even if you don’t have kids, you have to be patient and kind with other people’s kids, and other people generally. This is very different from loving lions. You can love lions passively, in the abstract; people must be loved actively, in reality.

If ever some deranged terrorist transported thousand of lions into our neighborhoods, forcing us to actually love lions in some real and present sense, I can guarantee the progressive affection for the species would vanish rapidly.

This is the progressive modus operandi. Progressivism loves everything that can be loved lazily or indulgently, and nothing that must be loved sacrificially and earnestly. It loves nothing that requires any action on its part.

Put more simply, it loves nothing.

But it will keep pretending anyway.

Zimbabwe has lifted its ban on trophy hunting[I]
    — just a week after it was introduced

    Sibusiso Tshabalala- 3 hrs ago/I]

Zimbabwe’s temporary ban on trophy hunting lasted for just over a week. South Africa’s News24 reported yesterday that the ban, introduced after last month’s scandal over the killing of Cecil the lion, has been lifted.

According to the report, a statement from the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association was leaked during the weekend, announcing the lifting of the ban. “We are pleased to inform you that, following some useful discussions between operators and the relevant Zimbabwean authorities, the suspension has now been uplifted throughout the country”, it reads.

There are exceptions, according to News24: a ban continues on trophy hunting in certain areas such as the Antoinette farm, where Cecil the lion was illegally killed, and on the hunting of “collared iconic animals.” (Cecil was wearing a collar.)

Writing on al-Jazeera last week, Tendai Marima, a journalist based in Zimbabwe, reported fears that although hunting contributes less than a tenth of Zimbabwe’s $200 million or more in annual ecotourism income, a hunting ban could hurt the country in the current tough economic climate. “Some Zimbabwe-based hunting organisations fear that, in addition to their own losses, communities dependent on commercial hunting could be negatively affected by the temporary ban,” wrote Marima. She also cited fears that the ban on hunting might aggravate poaching instead.

Court denies StemExpress request to access, block aborted baby part videos

August 13, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - A judge with the Superior Court of the State of California issued a ruling this afternoon denying a request by StemExpress to access videos and documentation obtained by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) during its investigation into Planned Parenthood's practice of harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies.

Judge Joanne O’Donnell argued that the requested injunction, which would have prevented CMP from releasing some of their undercover footage featuring high level StemExpress employees, would violate CMP's First Amendment rights.

The ruling comes two weeks after O'Donnell issued a narrow temporary restraining order preventing CMP from releasing further undercover video footage taken at a meeting with the three top-level staff at a restaurant in May.

StemExpress plays a central part in the scandal exposed by many of the six "sting" videos released by CMP in recent weeks. Those videos depict Planned Parenthood officials haggling over the prices of aborted baby parts, or sorting through the body parts of aborted babies in a lab - body parts which are then acquired by StemExpress.

The biomedical firm, which advertises that it “fiscally rewards clinics” who provide it with baby parts for research, had also tried to block the release of several documents posted on the CMP website, including a price list for baby parts. That request was previously denied by Judge O'Donnell.

    Pro-life leaders welcomed today's decision.

"The Court has rightly stopped Stem Express from using a meritless lawsuit to try to silence the Center for Medical Progress," said Casey Mattox, Senior Counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom. "Americans have a right to know the truth about Planned Parenthood and its business deals with Stem Express. This decision brings us one step closer to the day Stem Express and Planned Parenthood have been dreading.”

“As has been more than apparent from the videos that have been released, StemExpress and Planned Parenthood have plenty to hide," said Life Legal Defense Foundation Vice President of Legal Affairs Catherine Short. "These videos not only expose the potential illegality of Planned Parenthood’s actions, they expose the grisly, inhuman nature of Planned Parenthood’s business."

In the ruling Judge O’Donnell tossed the injunction request, saying that StemExpress was highly unlikely to prevail in its efforts.

“Plaintiff does not persuade the Court that the discovery it seeks is necessary to obtain the preliminary injunction. That is because it appears unlikely that the Court is going to grant the preliminary injunction,” Judge O’Donnell said in her Thursday order.

“The injunction Plaintiff seeks would prevent Defendants from disseminating the videotapes,” the judge added, explaining, "this proposed injunction would constitute a prior restraint on the Defendants’ rights under the First Amendment and the parallel protections under the California Constitution.”

Vox Writer’s Admission: ‘I Watched All 12 Hours of the Unedited Planned Parenthood Videos. Here’s What I Learned’

    Aug. 13, 2015 2:26pm Dave Urbanski

A main sticking point in the debate surrounding the series of undercover Planned Parenthood videos released over the last several weeks — at least from advocates for the agency — has been that the videos purportedly showing discussions concerning the sale of aborted fetal tissue are “heavily edited.”

But alongside that assertion is the fact that the Center for Medical Progress, the anti-abortion group behind the videos, released complete, unedited footage as well — 12 hours of it so far.

Sarah Cliff, a writer at the left-leaning outlet Vox, has covered the controversy over the last month and viewed all of the raw footage for a piece titled, “I watched all 12 hours of the unedited Planned Parenthood videos. Here’s what I learned.”

First off, while she noted that the videos seem to be edited to make Planned Parenthood “look bad,” Cliff added it “doesn’t mean Planned Parenthood didn’t do anything wrong.”

While she said the fake buyers are the ones who “move the discussion toward money” and the Planned Parenthood staffers often talk of medical advancements from fetal tissue research, Cliff noted that “there are also moments that should give supporters of the women’s health provider pause — moments when officials with the group seem to haggle over fetal tissue compensation and appear to make women’s health a secondary priority.”

Cliff said this issue isn’t “any less troublesome when watched in the full video. They are not simply a product of biased editing — and, if anything, the biased editing is making them too easy for Planned Parenthood’s supporters to ignore.”

Adding to this are “problematic” moments in the second video, Cliff said, which include an lunch with Mary Gatter, president of Planned Parenthood’s Medical Directors Council and the medical director for a clinic in Pasadena, California. Cliff observed that while Gatter was ”clearly being baited” into a price negotiation, “haggling over price shouldn’t happen if the clinic simply intends to receive reimbursement for costs associated with procuring tissue.”

Then she shared what to her was the most disturbing element about the unedited videos.

It’s not simply whether or not Planned Parenthood makes money from the sale of fetal tissue, but “more damaging,” Cliff said, is the “ethics of changing the abortion procedure to procure better tissue.”

“This is something Planned Parenthood officials talk about more openly than cost, and it’s a difficult ethical issue to think through, even for supporters of abortion rights,” she said. “Is it okay to change a medical procedure in service of something other than the patient’s health? What about changes that don’t alter the odds of success? What about those that make the procedure last a few seconds, maybe a minute, longer?”

In the end, Cliff concluded that the issue wasn’t so much about the sale of fetal tissue or even Planned Parenthood in general.

“But imagine, for a second, that Planned Parenthood came out tomorrow morning and said that the Center for Medical Progress had caused them to reconsider their position, and henceforth, they would no longer participate in fetal tissue research,” Cliff wondered. “Does anyone think Republicans would stop trying to defund Planned Parenthood? Or that the Center for Medical Progress would believe it had won?”

Not a chance, Cliff concluded — which to her said that above all, the root issue is whether or not abortion is right.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015...hat-i-learned/

If Planned Parenthood is selling body parts of murdered babies, what exactly could have been done during the editing process to make PP’s actions “look” any worse than they already are?

    ..

As ive said before- it reminds me of dealing with my daughter. In her eyes it doesnt matter if I have 90% of the information correct when questioning her about wrong doing. Because I am wrong about the other 10% she decidees that I have no position and am now wrong.

All the talk of heavily edited videos. Yeah ok. The morons at VOX function from a certain perspective- that which protects the lefts cash cow money laundering scheme that is planned parenthood. The same people who want to save just one life by supporting gun control. The same people who shilled for obamacare.

The writer at Vox didn't "learn" anything

    ..

Abortion is “Genocide” in my personal opinion. It has destroyed or shrunk the future populations of humans during its tenure. It is what Margaret Sanger intended since 1930′s. It is no coincidence that facilities are located in or near low income neighborhoods

    ..

I read a column on CNN where the guy dismissed the videos as edited and only addressed the whole selling fetal tissue for profit business. Perhaps, I don’t know, Planned Parenthood doesn’t make a profit. For me, it’s always been the “what tissue do you need and we’ll get it for you” because that shows the real hypocrisy of this organization. They don’t care about women’s health – they never have.

Anyway, I engaged the author on Twitter and he responded and told me he had gone through about 200 pages of transcripts to research his column. I called him a coward for not watching the video and instead, choosing to look through text. He told me he’d be willing to see the video if I linked to the video and told him where to look. Not only did I link to the video and time, I also linked to where the texts were. He never wrote back to me.

    ..

I find the irony in the Vox commentator stating that the more worrisome issue is the fact that planned parenthood said that they would change the procedure for procurement of tissue and put woman’s health second. If it is only just cell and tissue, and it is obviously safe for the woman because we haven’t had millions of reports of their deaths, then why would it matter how it is procured?

    ..

PP murders babies by the millions ,butchers them and sells their organs and limbs for profit. PP doesn’t need any help in making themselves look bad, they do a good job of it on their own.

    ..

Apparently Ms Cliff is not aware that positioning the unborn child for maximum profitability from harvesting is illegal? A number of the Planned Parenthood doctors are seen in the videos admitting they and their staff make an effort to position the unborn child in such a way as to yield the most profitable organs and tissue for compensation. This is illegal.

    ..

Imagine for one minute that these leftists accepted what their eyes see - PP is doing Margaret Sangers' work to engineer society, killing the same race of people Vox endlessly defends by calling white people 'racist' over any and everything, demeans the character of conservatives for standing up to said eugenicists, then watches the same videos everybody else sees and somehow comes up with a different opinion entirely, as if the content is subjective. Imagine they gave the Tea party folks the same benefit of the doubt, judging them by their actions, character, and fruits.

    ..

The videos were not edited to make Planned Murderhood look bad, they were edited simply to show the most newsworthy parts which happen to make Planned Murderhood look even more horrible than they usually do. There is no consent of the “donor”, the “donor” is murdered in the womb without consent and the remains of the “donor” are then sold off or given without consent. These people and their supporters are depraved

Of course, when you're told how to think in advance, you cant let the smoking gun change your orders. vox is a shill site so anything they say can be summed up as a laundry list of wasserman shultz talking points.

    ...

Our women are being relegated to the position of livestock. They are being indoctrinated and trained by the left into a libertine lifestyle in order that their wombs can be used to produce a product for sale on the open market. Our children have become a commodity, so say the Liberal/Progressives, to be graded and butchered like so much beef in order to assuage corporate greed. “The Right to Choose” replaces the word murder, “Fetal Tissue Samples” once were bodies.

Where is the Republican war on women? How is the Right hurting our children?

    ..

If they were haggling with a third party over the price and pain to quality of acquisition ratio off YOUR organ that really probably didn’t have to be removed, would YOU have an emotional reaction?

StemExpress cuts ties with Planned Parenthood after fetal body part scandal
    John Jalsevac - Aug 14, 2015

StemExpress, the biomedical firm in the news recently for its role acquiring aborted fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood and then marketing it to research labs, has formally cut ties with the abortion organization, reports Politico.

Politico cited "sources" who said that StemExpress had informed Congress as well as Planned Parenthood Friday afternoon that they were ending the relationship.

The decision comes after the release of six videos, exposing Planned Parenthood’s practice of harvesting and selling aborted fetal tissue. In Northern California, it is technicians with StemExpress who worked inside Planned Parenthood’s clinics to obtain consent from the babies' mothers, and the desired "specimens."

Two of the six videos released prominently feature former StemExpress technician Holly O’Donnell.

In the videos O’Donnell describes in graphic detail the process of sorting through dismembered arms and legs of aborted babies. She also claims that StemExpress did not always obtain proper consent from the mothers of the aborted babies to harvest the tissue.

In the wake of the release of the videos, Congress has launched an inquiry, demanding that StemExpress explain its relationship with Planned Parenthood.

The House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce specifically demanded that the biomedical firm explain why one of its fliers advertised how abortion clinics would be “contributing to their fiscal growth” by providing fetal tissue to Stem Express. It is illegal for abortion facilities to profit from harvesting fetal tissue.

The decision to sever ties with Planned Parenthood also comes one day after a judge with the Superior Court of the State of California issued a ruling denying a request by StemExpress to access videos and documentation obtained by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) during its investigation into Planned Parenthood.

Judge Joanne O’Donnell argued that the requested injunction, which would have prevented CMP from releasing some of their undercover footage featuring high level StemExpress employees, would violate CMP's First Amendment rights.

According to the letter from the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, 10% of StemExpress's $2.2 million revenue comes from aborted fetal tissue.

Planned Parenthood — which I now not-so-affectionately refer to as “Murder, Inc” — and it’s supporters have been on a blitz as of late, doing their darnedest to defend their baby killing factories after a series of undercover videos revealed they were selling baby body parts.

Since these videos were released, a movement has started demanding the government defund the organization and stop U.S. tax dollars from being used in their sick bid to make a buck off killing the unborn.

Those who work for and support Planned Parenthood have been using the “three percent” defense to try combatting this movement, saying only three percent of their services are abortion related.

Well a writer for the New York Post crafted a brutal deconstruction of this myth, basically blowing this load of malarkey right out of the collective progressive sphincters of those who created it.

    From NY Post: http://nypost.com/2015/08/03/planned...3-percent-lie/

How much credit would we give someone for saying he only drives drunk 3 percent of the time, or only cheats on business trips 3 percent of the time, or only hits his wife during 3 percent of domestic disputes?

The 3 percent factoid is crafted to obscure the reality of Planned Parenthood’s business.

The group performs about 330,000 abortions a year, or roughly 30 percent of all the abortions in the country. By its own accounting in its 2013-2014 annual report, it provides about as many abortions as Pap tests (380,000). The group does more breast exams and provides more breast-care services (490,000), but not by that much.

The 3 percent figure is derived by counting abortion as just another service like much less consequential services.

So abortion is considered a service no different than a pregnancy test (1.1 million), even though a box with two pregnancy tests can be procured from the local drugstore for less than $10.

By Planned Parenthood’s math, a woman who gets an abortion but also a pregnancy test, an STD test and some contraceptives has received four services, and only 25 percent of them are abortion. This is a little like performing an abortion and giving a woman an aspirin, and saying only half of what you do is abortion.

Such cracked reasoning could be used to obscure the purpose of any organization.
The sponsors of the New York City Marathon could count each small cup of water they hand out (some 2 million cups, compared with 45,000 runners) and say they are mainly in the hydration business.

Or Major League Baseball teams could say that they sell about 20 million hot dogs and play 2,430 games in a season, so baseball is only .012 percent of what they do.

Supporters of Planned Parenthood want to use its health services as leverage to preserve its abortions, as if you can’t get one without the other.
    Boom.

Another big load of bull we often hear from the pro-abortion crowd is that by defunding Planned Parenthood, we’ll prevent women from getting needed healthcare like breast cancer screenings and stuff.

    Guess what?

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides these same screenings for free, all without killing babies and selling their hearts, livers, and kidneys.

So tell me again, Planned Parenthood, why do we need you around?

Abortion is a horrific crime against humanity, and when a society is willing to kill the unborn in order to benefit financially, we’re sliding down a slippery slope of immorality right into utter destruction.

We need to continue opposing this sick organization and demand action be taken by Congress to defund the group immediately.

    Babies are worth saving.

How Planned Parenthood actually uses its federal funding
    August 4, 2015

The long-running calls for the federal government to cease all funding directed toward Planned Parenthood have once again come to the fore. This time, a congressional vote and debate took shape after an anti-abortion group secretly recorded a series of videos with the organization's medical officers and staff speaking dispassionately — some would say dismissively — about the work of extracting fetal tissue from aborted fetuses and and transferring it to research facilities.

And even though the defund Planned Parenthood fight on the Senate floor didn't move the needle — in terms of actual impacts on funding — it did bring to the fore some important facts about how much federal money goes to the group, and what it's used for.

What you need to know about Planned Parenthood

During the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2014, the most recent for which data is available, Planned Parenthood affiliates around the country received $528.4 million in government funds (a combination of state, federal and sometimes local government dollars), according to the organization's own annual report and information it's required to share with the IRS.

Those federal dollars were the single largest source of money coming into the organization and its local affiliates, by far. Another $305.3 million came from nongovernment sources, about $257.4 million reached the organization after private donors and foundations made contributions and bequests. The organization also raised another $54.7 million in fees charged for its services. So, government funding — with federal dollars comprising the biggest portion of this part of the organization's budget — are absolutely critical to Planned Parenthood's total operation.

But, it's important to note that federal dollars are not used to provide the service at the center of the political debate around Planned Parenthood: abortions. That's been banned by law in almost all cases since 1976. (The details of the ban have shifted over time.) Instead, the organization uses money from other sources — private donors and foundations as well as fees — to fund its abortion services.

All told, abortions comprise about 3 percent of all the services Planned Parenthood provides, according to the organization's own data. (In 2011, FactCheck.org also examined this question and found the organization's reports to be accurate) The rest of the organization's revenue, including government dollars, are used to fund services in a way that breaks down like this:

So, while it's true that the Planned Parenthood's political opponents would quite likely strike a major blow to the organization if it was stripped of all federal dollars, it's far less likely that such a change would significantly reduce the number of abortions the agency's doctors perform each year or how those procedures contribute to the total number of pregnancies terminated in the United States.

Those who pushed for the vote Monday night have also, no doubt, heard Planned Parenthood supporters offer some version of this argument for years. Planned Parenthood provides critical and preventative health care to a lot of low and moderate income women, that argument goes. Among those services supported with federal dollars are STD screenings and contraception. Most public health experts agree that this combination does help to preserve women's overall health and fertility while also limiting unwanted pregnancies. (Not all experts feel that way, however.)

Perhaps that's why even Planned Parenthood's biggest critics saw to it that the organization's federal funding — if it was zeroed out — would be directed toward other health care organizations. The bill that stalled last night, specifically called for that. The reasons to include that provision may be practical, political or some combination thereof.

This year, when unwanted pregnancy and abortion rates fell, those opposed to abortion and in favor of a range of policies that have made abortions more difficult to obtain sought to take credit.

The House Oversight Committee on Friday penned a letter to Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards requesting seven documents or pieces of information be handed over by next week.

The letter, authored by Reps. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), noted the series of recent undercover sting videos that purport to show the abortion provider engaging in the sale of aborted fetal parts.

“Recently released videos implicate Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its affiliates in potentially unlawful transactions involving fetal tissue,” the letter said. “In the videos, Planned Parenthood representatives discuss the demand for certain body parts, the manner in which patient consent is solicited, pricing considerations, and the methods by which doctors manipulate procedures to ensure that tissues remain intact.”

It added, “The disturbing content of these videos raises questions as to whether federal funds are being used to finance the potentially illegal conduct described therein.”

The last requested piece of information requires Planned Parenthood to note “what procedures, services, or other medical treatments are available only or exclusively at a Planned Parenthood affiliate or health center that are covered by either a state’s Medicaid program or a health plan sold via a state exchange or HealthCare.gov under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”

I like that they are requesting information on ALL forms of taxpayer funded monies as well. We know they get Title X funding (which all free and sliding scale clinics get) and we know they get Medicaid payments on a per patient basis (where that patient qualifies) and since the ACA/Obamacare, they also get insurance payments that are subsidized by the taxpayer. What else are they getting that is under other taxpayer funded programs? We who are funding them deserve to know the totality of our support for an organization that has lawyers seeking ways to help them subvert the laws and charitable intent of the public.

    ..

I am an Adjutant at a American Legion post that has to file a Form 990N for tax exempt. Being a veterans organization and depend on member dues 100% wee are not entirely exempt like PP. If a post has one for profit activity like providing meals for homebound vets or have a bar in the post then the government slaps it to us unlike PP who can sell fetus parts for profit. What is wrong with that picture?

    ..

I'm guessing PP will ignore it, then the house will pretend to hold themin contempt and file a claim with the local DC Court and it will be lost. Still waiting on the Court to rule on the coneempt charge of Eric Holder for fast and furious. Nothing in years. We've moved on. What difference at this point does it make? Oh, and then PP will close up shop and open the next day under a new name. Everyone's happy and DC goes on as before.

    ..

I may be reading this wrong, but doesn't #7 actually provide Planned Parenthood with an OUT in this line - "Do NOT include services or procedures that could otherwise be provided by a private healthcare provider."
There are numerous "private healthcare providers" that perform abortions all over the United States.

Planned Parenthood is Likely Keeping Some Aborted Babies Alive “Until Their Hearts are Cut Out”
    Steven Ertelt Aug 18, 2015

Dr. Theresa Deisher is a world-renowned scientist in the field of stem cell research who holds patents after discovering adult stem cells in human hearts. Deisher helped the pro-life activists who spent three years recording undercover videos and capturing documents and information showing the Planned Parenthood abortion business selling aborted babies and their body parts.

Now, in a new interview, Deisher says she has reviewed the information the activists collected and she is making a shocking claim that Planned Parenthood may be keeping some babies alive after the abortion procedure in order to better collect their organs for harvesting — such as their hearts.

Here is what she told Breitbart News: http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...s-are-cut-out/

“If you read scientific publications, in which they use the fetal material for some indications, particularly, cardio-vascular, or nerve cell research, they discuss the necessity of having tissue in the digesting buffer solution within five minutes for optimal yields,” she explains. “So, within five minutes of death, you would have to have the heart removed, and flushed of all blood, cleaned of any extra tissue that might be there, and the heart put into a liquid with enzymes that would digest the connective tissue and release the muscle cells.”

“Sometimes, they use an apparatus where they hook the heart up and they would flush fluid through it to keep it alive and beating,” she continues. “And you can’t have a dead heart that’s going to work in that kind of process.”

Deisher states that, in these cases, in order for the organs of aborted babies to be viable for research, the baby must be kept alive with a beating heart in order to get it through the harvest.

“Biomedical companies prefer gestational ages of greater than 20 weeks for heart muscle,” she adds. “This is from reading their publications; so, I have always suspected that the babies in some of these cases were alive until their hearts were cut out.”
Deisher says the Planned Parenthood abortion doctors caught in the videos arranging for the sales of aborted babies also discuss how they manipulate abortion procedures in order to better save babies’ heads and brain matter to use for research.

“Listening from the first video where they talk about getting an intact [corpus] callosum—that’s like a partial birth—the head would have to be through the canal in order to get that material,” Deisher states.

In the first video released by CMP, Planned Parenthood chief medical officer Dr. Deborah Nucatola is heard saying, “Calvarium—the head—is basically the biggest part. Most of the other stuff can come out intact.”

Nucatola goes on to say the abortionist must be “just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, and I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
The fifth video in the shocking undercover series best illustrates how the Planned Parenthood abortion company is selling “fully intact” aborted babies.

The video, which follows Senate Democrats defeating a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood, makes it appear the Planned Parenthood abortion business may be selling the “fully intact” bodies of unborn babies purposefully born alive and left to die.

Planned Parenthood could be breaking the federal law known as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act that requires abortion clinics, hospitals and other places that do abortions to provide appropriate medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion or purposefully birthed to “let die.” That would be one of the potential ways Planned Parenthood could produce a “fully intact” baby to sell to StemExpress for research. Most “crunchy” abortion methods would do damage to the baby’s body.

The fifth undercover video in the controversy over Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts shows the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, advertising the Texas Planned Parenthood branch’s track record of fetal tissue sales, including its ability to deliver fully intact aborted babies.

In the video, actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company meet with Farrell at the abortion-clinic headquarters of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston to discuss a potential partnership to harvest fetal organs.

“Where we probably have an edge over other organizations, our organization has been doing research for many many years,” explains Farrell. When researchers need a specific part from the aborted fetus, Farrell says, “We bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this, so we deviate from our standard in order to do that.”
Asked specifically if this means Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast can change abortion procedures to supply intact fetal specimens, Farrell affirms, “Some of our doctors in the past have projects and they’re collecting the specimens, so they do it in a way that they get the best specimens, so I know it can happen.”

The investigators ask Farrell how she will frame a contract in which they pay a higher price for higher quality fetal body parts, and she replies, “We can work it out in the context of–obviously, the procedure itself is more complicated,” suggesting that “without having you cover the procedural cost” and paying for the abortion, the higher specimen price could be framed as “additional time, cost, administrative burden.”

Farrell finally summarizes her affiliate’s approach to fetal tissue payments: “If we alter our process, and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this. It’s all just a matter of line items.”

Congress is currently investigating whether or not the abortion business is breaking federal law. One of the key allegations that has come out after the series of undercover videos concerning Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies is whether the abortion business is breaking federal law banning partial-birth abortions and altering the abortion procedure in a way that allows to to maximize profit from the sales of aborted baby body parts by better preserving those body parts following the abortion.

The announcement of this aspect of the Planned Parenthood investigation follows on the heels of an announcement that a House committee is now looking into the Obama administration and whether there is any connection between it and the abortion giant.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was to know if the Obama administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services, provided any federal grants to Planned Parenthood that ultimately went to pay for the sales of aborted baby body parts and if they were used by Planned Parenthood to “support transactions involving fetal tissue.”

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation.

As LifeNews reported, the first video of undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.

In the second video, Planned Parenthood doctor Mary Gatter discusses the pricing of aborted baby body parts — telling the biotech company officials that the prices for such things as a baby’s liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion.

So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies.

Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana and Iowa’s governor has ordered a review of Planned Parenthood funding.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.

The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.

6th Shocking Video Catches Planned Parenthood Selling Aborted Babies Without Patient Consent
    Steven Ertelt Aug 12, 2015

The pro-life advocates behind the five shocking videos exposing Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of aborted babies for research have released a 6th video today that shows how the abortion business sells body parts of aborted babies without patient consent.

    Ad Row 3

    Position 9

The video features Holly O’Donnell, a licensed phlebotomist who unsuspectingly took a job as a “procurement technician” at the fetal tissue company and biotech start-up StemExpress in late 2012. That’s the company that acts as a middleman and purchases the body parts of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood to sell to research universities and other places.

The new video includes O’Donnell’s eyewitness narrative of the daily practice of fetal body parts harvesting in Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, describing tissue procurement workers’ coordination with abortion providers, the pressure placed on patients, and disregard for patient consent.

As a procurement tech, O’Donnell’s job was to identify pregnant patients matching the specifications of StemExpress customers and to harvest the fetal body parts from their abortions. She essentially says Planned Parenthood is violating federal law by not properly obtaining the consent from women who have abortions to sell their aborted baby or baby’s body parts.

“It’s not an option, it’s a demand,” StemExpress supervisors instructed O’Donnell about approaching pregnant women at Planned Parenthood for fetal tissue “donations.” O’Donnell says the StemExpress techs working in Planned Parenthood clinics sometimes harvested fetal parts without obtaining consent from the patients: “If there was a higher gestation, and the technicians needed it, there were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”

“You have to make sure you get her,” O’Donnell’s colleague told her, but O’Donnell said the woman having the abortion had refused consent.

“I’m not going to tell a girl to kill her baby just to get money,” O’Donell says of Planned Parenthood, “and that’s what this company does. Straight up. That’s what this company does.”

Federal laws on the procurement and use of human fetal tissue require that patients consent to the tissue donation subsequent to consenting to the abortion procedure (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

According to O’Donnell, Planned Parenthood gave StemExpress workers access to patient records and schedules so that the harvesting company could plan for the days when patient “supply” would be greatest.

“They give you a sheet, and it’s everybody for that day, who’s coming in for an ultrasound, who’s coming in for an abortion, medical or a late-term abortion,” O’Donnell explains. Even patients just seeking a pregnancy test at Planned Parenthood were considered part of the supply: “Pregnancy tests are potential pregnancies, therefore potential specimens. So it’s just taking advantage of the opportunities.”

Commenting on the latest video, David Daleiden, the head of The Center for Medical Progress, which has released all of the expose’ videos, told LifeNews: “Experiences like Holly O’Donnell’s show that Planned Parenthood’s abortion and baby parts business is not a safe place where vulnerable women can be cared for, but a harvesting ground for saleable human ‘product.’ Taxpayer subsidies to Planned Parenthood’s barbaric abortion business should be revoked immediately, and law enforcement and other elected officials must act decisively to determine the full extent of Planned Parenthood’s offensive practices and hold them accountable to the law.”

    Watch the newest video below:

For six months, O’Donnell’s job was to identify pregnant women at Planned Parenthood who met criteria for fetal tissue orders and to harvest the fetal body parts after their abortions.

“I thought I was going to be just drawing blood, not procuring tissue from aborted fetuses,” says O’Donnell, who fainted in shock on her first day of work in a Planned Parenthood clinic when suddenly asked to dissect a freshly-aborted fetus during her on-the-job training.

O’Donnell describes the financial benefit Planned Parenthood received from StemExpress: “For whatever we could procure, they would get a certain percentage. The main nurse was always trying to make sure we got our specimens. No one else really cared, but the main nurse did because she knew that Planned Parenthood was getting compensated.”

The most recent Planned Parenthood expose’ video, which follows Senate Democrats defeating a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood, makes it appear the Planned Parenthood abortion business may be selling the “fully intact” bodies of unborn babies purposefully born alive and left to die.

Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and three states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana.

‘This is so hard. Oh, God, it’s so hard!’: nurses tell of aborted babies born alive

Note: This is Part 3 of a series about how babies are born alive during abortion procedures:

Part I: ‘This baby is alive!’: the heartbreaking story of Baby Hope http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/thi...y-of-baby-hope

Part II: ‘That’s not a baby. That’s an abortion!’: clinic workers describe babies born alive http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/tha...abies-born-ali
(LiveActionNews.org) - Often when a baby is born alive during an abortion procedure, the child is kept in the abortion clinic until he or she dies. In rare cases, the abortionist himself takes action to kill the baby. But sometimes the baby is transferred to a hospital, where he can be given medical care. Unfortunately, it is the policy of many hospitals simply to allow these babies to die.

Nurse Kathleen Malloy, from Jacksonville, Florida, witnessed the death of one baby who was born after a saline abortion and transferred to her hospital. Melanie Green of Last Days Ministries quoted Malloy in her pamphlet “Children: Things We Throw Away?“ Malloy tells her story:

I worked the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift, and when we weren’t busy, I’d go out to help with the newborns. One night I saw a bassinet outside the nursery. There was a baby in this bassinet – a crying, perfectly formed baby – but there was a difference in this child. She had been scalded. She was the child of a saline abortion.

This little girl looked as if she had been put in a pot of boiling water. No doctor, no nurse, no parent, to comfort this hurt, burned child. She was left alone to die in pain. They wouldn’t let her in the nursery – they didn’t even bother to cover her.

I was ashamed of my profession that night! It’s hard to believe this can happen in our modern hospitals, but it does. It happens all the time. I thought a hospital was a place to heal the sick – not a place to kill.

I asked a nurse at another hospital what they do with their babies that are aborted by saline. Unlike my hospital, where the baby was left alone struggling for breath, their hospital puts the infant in a bucket and puts the lid on. Suffocation! Death by suffocation!

A saline abortion is performed by injecting the caustic saline solution into the amniotic fluid that surrounds an unborn baby in the second trimester. The baby breathes in the fluid, which burns her lungs and scorches her skin, causing her to die within several hours. The mother then goes through labor to give birth to the dead baby. This type of abortion is seldom performed today because it led to so many live births and because it was dangerous to women; it had the potential to cause severe damage to the woman’s body if the saline was injected into her bloodstream. A similar procedure where poison is injected into the baby’s heart, or, in some cases, the amniotic fluid, still takes place today and is used in the late second and third trimesters.
The baby Malloy watched die never had a name and never had a chance to live. In a similar situation, Gianna Jessen, who was also aborted by the saline method, was given medical care and survived. She is now a pro-life activist, and her website can be found here. http://www.giannajessen.com/

A 2002 article in The Journal of Clinical Nursing seems to indicate that nurses encounter babies born alive after abortions with some frequency. According to the article:

In the case of late termination, the death of the fetus before delivery, though usual, is not inevitable except in rare cases of extreme physical abnormality[.] … At times the fetus will actually attempt to breathe or move its limbs, which makes the experience extremely distressing for nurses. Also, whereas the woman will probably go through this process once in her lifetime, nurses may go through it several times a year or even in the same week. (1)
The article quotes author and lecturer Annette D. Huntington, BN, Ph.D. saying that abortion live births are a “regular occurrence.”

Another nurse who found herself in the terrible position of caring for an aborted baby told her story in the newsletter of Friendship Pregnancy Center (now called Women’s First Choice Center) in Morristown, New Jersey. Her story, which can be read in its entirety here, is heartbreaking. On the night the aborted baby came in, three premature babies from a nearby hospital were being taken care of. Two of the three were in danger of dying, and doctors struggled to save their lives. While the doctors were engaged in the struggle to help these two wanted babies, the aborted baby was brought in:

The nurse from Labor and Delivery walked into our unit carrying a blanket and stating “This is a prostaglandin abortion. He has a heartbeat so we brought him over.” The baby was placed under a radiant warmer and I was told the rest of the facts. The gestational age of the baby was given to be 23 weeks by ultrasound. The mother had cancer and had received chemotherapy treatments before discovering that she was pregnant. The parents had been told that their baby would be horribly deformed because of the chemotherapy.

I looked at the baby boy lying before me, and saw that from all appearances he was perfect. He had a good strong heartbeat. I could tell this without using a stethoscope because I could see his chest moving in sync with his heart rate. With a stethoscope I heard a heart pumping strongly. I look at his size and his skin — he definitely looked more mature than 23 weeks. He was weighed and I discovered that he was 900 grams, almost two pounds. This was almost twice the weight of some babies we have been able to save. A doctor was summoned. When she arrived the baby started moving his tiny arms and legs flailing. He started trying to gasp, but was unable to get air into his lungs. His whole body shuddered with his efforts to breathe. We were joined by a neonatalist and I pleaded with both doctors saying, “The baby is viable — look at his size, look at his skin — he looks much older than 23 weeks.”

It was a horrible moment as each of us wrestled with our own ethical standards. I argued that we should make an attempt to resuscitate him, to get him breathing. The resident doctor told me, “This is an abortion. We have no right to interfere.” The specialist, who had the responsibility for the decision, was wringing his hands and quietly saying, “This is so hard. Oh, God, it’s so hard when it’s this close.” In the end, I lost. We were not going to try to resuscitate this baby. So, I did the only thing I could do. Dipping my index finger into sterile water and placing it on his head, I baptized the child. Then I wrapped him in blankets to keep him warm, and held him. These were the only measures I could take comfort the baby under the circumstances, no matter how much I wanted to do more. I held this little boy, who was still gasping for breath, trying to stay alive on his own. As the tears flowed down my face, I pray to God that he would take this child into his care, and that he would forgive me for my own part in his death. After a while, he stopped gasping. His heart continued to beat, but the beating became slower and weaker until it finally stopped. He was gone.
Ironically, all the while the nurse was holding the dying aborted child, doctors were struggling to save the life of another premature (but wanted) child in the very same room, less than five feet away. Sadly, this baby died as well – but she was given every possible medical treatment, while the aborted baby was completely ignored.
