amazing when you read this and then read about bergdahl. with Tahmooressi they have to investigate, discuss, etc but have no time table but with bergdahl, there was no contact with congress (which O signed into law and thus disregarded) until the deed was done. what reports did O get about the treatment of bergdahl that made him decide that it was a matter of life and death due to his medical condition? This government has gotten reports of Tahmooressi being shackled and chained and having his life and well being threatened and what have they done.....nothing. bergdahl walked unassisted to the transport and is reported in satisfactory condition even though O said bergdahl was in bad health. Has anyone seen pictures of prisoners in a concentration camp? that is what I would have expected bergdahl to look like after 5 years of alleged imprisonment and he does not look like that at all. he could be in better shape than Tahmooressi. can someone make sense of how one american is treated compared to another? is our government treating the mexican military that crosses over into the US with guns aimed at the american border patrol in the same manner they are treating Tahmooressi?

Mexican Embassy: Mexicans Illegally Crossing U.S. Border ‘Are Not Committing a Crime’
By Top Right News on June 18, 2014
Mexican arrogance, corruption and lawlessness knows no bounds. Yet we continue to tolerate it.
MRCTV talked to protesters calling for the release of U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi outside the Mexican Embassy – where a spokesperson for the Mexican Embassy tells them illegal border crossing is “not committing a crime.”
“When a Mexican, or any other citizen, crosses a border, let’s say illegally, they are not committing a crime. They are doing it illegally, but they are not committing a crime. No, they are not. Check your law,” Public Affairs Minister Ariel Moutsatos-Morales says.
In others words, crossing our border is the right of every Mexican.
But (mistakenly) crossing their border warrants you jail time.

Shock Report: DHS Admits Over 500 Armed Mexican Police And Troops Have Illegally Crossed U.S. Border
By Gina Cassini on June 17, 2014
It’s official. U.S. sovereignty means absolutely nothing to the Federal government.
The Department of Homeland Security has told Congress in a report that a total of 525 armed Mexican police and soldiers illegally crossed the American border 152 times since 2004. They were confronted 81 times by Border Patrol and other law enforcement agencies and 131 Mexican cops and soldiers were detained.
From the Washington Times: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...ce-jump-border
Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said in a letter to Rep. Duncan Hunter that such instances known as “incursions” are “infrequent” but happen often enough that Mexico and the U.S. have created special liaison units to help negotiate the situations.
*Mr. Kerlikowske said there have been about 152 instances, involving a total of 525 armed Mexican military or law enforcement, who have been documented encroaching on the U.S. side of the border since Jan. 1, 2004. There were another 148 instanced of Mexican police or troops encroaching without arms.
Infrequent? Get that. Invasion by foreign troops nearly once a month is infrequent? Seriously?
Of course all of these police and troops who violated our border were released within a short time. But the same cannot be said for Afghanistan combat veteran U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who is being held in a Mexican jail for having weapons in his car that are legal in the U.S. but illegal in Mexico.
Tahmooressi, who was in California for the first time, got lost on the way back to San Diego and took a wrong turn into an official port of entry into Mexico where he was stopped and detained.
Neither Obama nor his Sec. of State Kerry have made a single public statement calling for his release, despite releasing 5 Taliban terrorists for a single U.S. Army deserter, and (in 2009) a vicious terrorist who is now turning Iraq upside down with horrific violence.
This is your nation on Obama.

Mother of jailed Marine Andrew Tahmooressi makes plea to Obama
Published September 01, 2014 ยท FoxNews.com
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/09/01...plea-to-obama/
In a personal plea to President Obama, the mother of jailed U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi asked for increased urgency in her son’s case in Mexico, where she says “one more day is one day too many” behind bars.
“Well, he’s holding on, he’s a Marine, so he’s got a lot of courage and valor,” Jill Tahmooressi told Fox News Monday of her son, Sgt. Tahmooressi, 26, who has remained in Mexican custody since late March when he accidentally drove into the country with three legally purchased firearms.
Tahmooressi, of Weston, Fla., has said her son, who suffers from combat-related PTSD after two tours in Afghanistan, is struggling to remain optimistic for a quick resolution to the ordeal. The case could languish for months, lawyers say.

SEAL Team Six Commander: Send in the Marines to Retrieve Sgt. Tahmooressi from Mexico
August 26, 2014 By Todd Cefaratti
For months, an American Marine has lingered in a Mexican jail for having accidentally brought firearms into Mexico. On March 31st, 2014, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi missed his exit near San Diego and accidentally drove into Mexico with no way to turn around. The Marine carried three loaded firearms in his truck and was arrested and has remained in Mexico’s infamously horrid prison system ever since.
While the Obama Administration has concerned themselves with Michael Brown’s death and as the vacationer-in-chief remains MIA on Martha’s Vineyard, taking breaks to fundraise for Democrats on occasion, the Obama Administration has done nothing to secure the release of the American veteran who lingers in a jail cell.
One man, however, has an idea. Ryan Zinke, the former SEAL Team Six Task Force Commander and current Congressional candidate in Montana, sees the current situation regarding Sgt. Tahmooressi unacceptable. His solution? Send the Marines into Mexico and take back our soldier.
“If I was the first executive of the United States, I would have called the first Marine division and told them to go get their marine back, and I would give them the equipment to do it,” Zinke revealed in a recent interview with Breitbart News.
“I cannot fathom why the media is not pounding the issue,” Zinke explained. “Here is a young marine who’s being held in a Mexican prison and where is this administration? Where is our country? We need to demand that this marine comes back home.”
Breitbart News reported on Zinke’s outstanding resume and noted,
After spending two separate tours with the SEAL Team Six, he served as a Special Operations Officer in Europe commanding the SEAL Joint Task Force TWO in support of Special Operations missions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, and Kosovo. He was elected to the Montana State Senate in 2008.
Zinke considers himself an optimist and feels America can regain its position as the world’s leader, but we can’t do it under this administration.
“We can get respect back, but we can’t lead from behind,” he explained. Moreover, he says that “You lead from the front by doing what you said you were going to do. When you say you are going to be on Israel’s side, then you take its side.”
“If during the Reagan years you were to say that Egypt would be a closer ally to Israel than America, no one would believe it,” said the commander. Bannon agreed, saying that the turnabout is “absolutely shocking.”
Zinke is absolutely correct. This administration is, seemingly, only interested in playing hardball with Americans who resist their radical agenda. On the world stage, however, the Obama Administration is cowardly and flighty on important issues and thoroughly uncommitted to American interests.
If the American military is, indeed, dedicated to the mantra of “leave no man behind,” then Obama must send in troops to retrieve our soldier if he is not man enough to force the release of Sgt. Tahmooressi through diplomacy.

Mexico Refuses to Release Imprisoned U.S. Marine
U.S. Taxpayers have given MILLIONS of dollars to support Mexico's corrupt and unjust judicial system. After yet another court hearing, Mexico has once again refused to release Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.

time to deport anyone from mexico and that includes anyone traversing thru mexico to come into the US illegally.....no matter their age which should include all those undocumented children, gang members, terrorists etc.....let mexico deal with them since they allowed them to come thru their country into ours. all products from mexico should be boycotted. and if one mexican policeman or military person crossing onto US soil, throw them into prison. all US banks should be barred from sending money into mexico and should the sendee not have legal proof that they are here legally, they should have this money confiscated and they should be deported...............BUT first we need a government (president and congress) to grow a pair of you know what and follow the laws in this country and ignore some of the laws (like they are used to doing) in order to flush criminals out of this country who are not suppose to be here, The 14th amendment should immediately be changed that states anyone born in this country to illegals should have their citizenship revoked because no one should profit from a crime and being illegally in this country is a crime according to our constitution (if a person robs a bank they are not allowed to keep the money nor can their family). all news media that refuses to report on this injustice should also be boycotted to let them know that they have shirked their responsibility in reporting the news (I think the sgt's story in more important than reporting who in hollywood is now pregnant or who O had a crush on when he was a kid).

BREAKING: Marine Jailed in Mexico to be Released
The marine that was detained on weapons charges March 31 after he made a wrong turn in San Ysidro, Calif., and crossed into Mexico may soon be released.
This past Wednesday members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee said that they believe Mexico will soon release Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, the U.S. Marine who has been held prisoner in Mexico after he crossed into that country carrying weapons in violation of Mexican law. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014...i-from-prison/
Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) said he met with Tahmooressi in prison back in June, and has continued to press Mexican authorities for his release. Royce said he made a breakthrough in a talk last week with Mexican authorities about Tahmooressi, who has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
A lawyer filed a motion earlier this month arguing that the Mexican government does not have the resources to treat Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi’s PTSD. Since the purpose of Mexican sentencing laws is to rehabilitate prisoners, Benitez argues his client’s case should be thrown out and he should go free. http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/loca...277696091.html
Royce and Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) said they have discussed the Tahmooressi case with Mexican Atty. Gen. Jesus Murillo Karam.
Karam suggested he will order the release if Tahmooressi’s PTSD is confirmed by psychologists, the two congressmen told a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere. http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-m...002-story.html
“I am confident a humanitarian release of Andrew will occur very soon,” Rep. Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) said at the beginning of a congressional hearing in Washington on the incarceration of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.
Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) said lawmakers just sent medical information about Tahmooressi to Mexico, which is why they hope he may soon be able to return home.
“The fact is that Mexican citizens violate U.S. law on a regular and continuing basis, illegally crossing our southern border,” Salmon added. “Mexican officials respond by asking the U.S. for compassion and amnesty for their citizens to remain in the U.S. But frankly, compassion goes both ways.”
An online petition to the White House, demanding Tahmooressi’s release, has garnered nearly 135,000 signatures.
In response to the petition, the White House said in late August that it continues “to monitor the case and work with Mexican authorities…. We continue to urge the Mexican authorities to process this case expeditiously.”
Experts believe that between 11 and 20 percent of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans suffer from PTSD, according to the Veterans Affairs Department. Symptoms of PTSD can include nightmares, flashbacks, changes in personality, sleeping disorders, and suicidal thoughts.

didn't O say this was the state dept's responsibility and not his? now it belongs to House Foreign Affairs Committee? "The fact is that Mexican citizens violate U.S. law on a regular and continuing basis, illegally crossing our southern border,” Salmon added. “Mexican officials respond by asking the U.S. for compassion and amnesty for their citizens to remain in the U.S. But frankly, compassion goes both ways.” how much compassion and amnesty for their citizens should anyone in this country give when we have millions of their citizens who collect benefits paid for my americans and we have to deal with the diseases, gangs etc that come from there? we have proof of their compassion and sympathy for 1 american - i still say send all their people back and stop giving them any more american money
