BENGHAZI BOMBSHELL: Sources tell CNN's Jake Tapper that last September 11th when 4 Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by terrorists in Benghazi, DOZENS CIA operatives were on the ground that night. What the hell were they doing while NOT saving American lives? You are not allow to know. Sources say the CIA is doing everything it can to ensure what they were doing there remains a SECRET - carrying out monthly polygraphs on employees to make sure they aren't talking to Congress, and threatening their careers and families.
...or as Hillary would say, "What difference does it make???"

‘We are truly screwed’: John Ondrasik sums up latest Benghazi bombshell ==>

I truly hope there is a valid national security issue for the CIA #Benghazi cover up/polygraphs.
I fear it's political cover. #54F

Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik was passed over for a spot on President Obama’s celebrity “Truth Team” to help push Obamacare, but tonight’s report on Benghazi by Jake Tapper has him dropping another hard truth. Tapper’s report that the CIA had perhaps more than 30 people on the ground when terrorists attacked (and is keeping them silent) has many wondering just what the administration’s been trying so hard to cover up: a covert operation gone wrong, a bungled response by the White House in an election year, or both. http://twitchy.com/2013/08/01/bombsh...ously-thought/
In either case, sources tell CNN that the CIA is subjecting operatives to lie detector tests regularly in an “unprecedented” attempt to keep a wrap on what was going on in Benghazi.

Tapper: Remember when Rand Paul asked Hillary about gun running in Libya?
Posted at 8:05 pm on August 1, 2013 by Twitchy Staff
Jake Tapper ✔ @jaketapper
Recall H Clinton answer when Sen Paul asked about gun-running:
"you’ll have to direct that question to the agency that ran the annex."
6:26 PM - 1 Aug 2013
Nearly a year out from the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, CNN’s Jake Tapper unveiled what looks like an enormous puzzle piece that’s been missing from the “phony scandal.” On today’s episode of “The Lead,” sources told CNN that dozens of people working for the CIA — the agency that ran the annex — were in Benghazi that night, and survivors are reportedly undergoing monthly polygraphs to ensure whatever they were doing there remains secret.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton might have trouble recalling things now and then, but Tapper remembers a question put to her by Sen. Rand Paul during the infamous “what difference does it make” hearing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=SPxL2Z-YUtI
There’s little question there’s a massive, ongoing cover-up in progress: the question now is whether it’s motivated more by national security or by politics.
Tapper does seems to be ticking off just the right people with his pesky questions.
* * *
Update: Jake Tapper’s not the only one reminded of that exchange between Hillary Clinton and Sen. Paul.

Read this for a little background on the CIA’s (or perhaps the administration’s) reportedly “unprecedented” efforts to keep this all under wraps.
http://hotair.com/archives/2013/08/0...r-revelations/
Toward the end of the CNN story, there’s this: http://thelead.blogs.cnn.com/2013/08...ack/?hpt=hp_c4
Lawmakers also want to about know the weapons in Libya, and what happened to them.
Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.
That’s been a theory held by many since the attack took place, and the more this “phony scandal” unfolds, it becomes an increasingly likely partial explanation. And that leads to a whole host of questions that hopefully will someday be answered for the sake of the families of the Americans who died there.
It does make a difference, in spite of claims to the contrary.
Update: If CNN publishes many more of these kinds of stories, Team Pantsuit might start to get a little uneasy about the documentary they’re producing. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journal...ce-Hillary-Doc

What Happens in Benghazi... stays in Benghazi - Even as the White House labels Benghazi a "phony scandal," more allegations are coming out. We now know that at least five CIA employees were forced to sign additional nondisclosure agreements since the Benghazi attack. The men are having to take lie detector tests basically on demand. The people who risked their lives in Libya are being intimidated using their careers as hostage saying they will be ruined or they will be fired if they tell what happened that night.
“I’ve known John Brennan and he’s the director there and he’s a bully of the first order. He will never say anything negative or question anyone above him, but for the people below him he is a bully of epic dimensions.” --- Michael Scheuer, headed the CIA’s Osama bin Laden unit in the 1990s.

Eleven months after Benghazi attacks, US files first criminal charges
Nearly a year after the deadly attacks that killed four Americans in Benghazi, the Obama administration is finally filing formal charges against a suspect, Ansar al-Sharia leader Ahmed Abu Khattalah:

New FBI director to face GOP heat for Benghazi investigation
Posted by CNN Chief National Correspondent John King
Washington (CNN) - Labeling the Obama administration's investigation of the September 2012 Benghazi attacks "simply unacceptable," eight Republican lawmakers are demanding more aggressive steps from the new FBI Director James Comey and asking that he brief Congress within 30 days.
"It has been more than 10 months since the attacks," the GOP lawmakers said in a draft of a letter to Comey obtained by CNN. "We appear to be no closer to knowing who was responsible today than we were in the early weeks following the attack. This is simply unacceptable."
The letter was initiated by GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, two of the fiercest critics of the administration's Benghazi response. Others who have agreed to sign the missive to Comey include Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. On the House side, GOP Reps. Darrell Issa, the chairman of the committee leading the House Benghazi investigation, Trey Gowdy of South Carolina and Jim Jordan of Ohio, signed the letter.
The eight GOP lawmakers signed off on the text of the letter late Tuesday, and planned to send it to Director Comey on Wednesday or Thursday, according to GOP sources who provided the draft to CNN on condition of anonymity because the final timing decision has not been made.
"Rumors continue to swirl about the whereabouts of suspects involved in the attack," the lawmakers write in their letter to Comey, who was just confirmed to replace Robert Mueller as FBI director. "The FBI continues to add pictures of potential assailants to its website and asks the Libyan people to assist with identifying the alleged perpetrators. We struggle to understand why we don’t know more about those who attacked two U.S. compounds and murdered four brave Americans. "
Among those identified as a suspect or person of high interest from the hours after the Sept. 11, 2012 attack – by both U.S. and Libyan officials – is Ahmed Abu Khattalah, a leader of the Islamist organization Ansar al-Sharia. But in a recent conversation with CNN's Arwa Damon, Khattalah acknowledged being at the U.S. diplomatic mission after the attack but denied any involvement. In that conversation – in Benghazi – Khattalah told CNN he has not been questioned by either Libyan authorities or the FBI.
In their letter, the lawmakers write, "We encourage you to be aggressive in your investigation to properly hold accountable those who attacked our compounds in Benghazi. We owe the families of those killed, and the people of this nation, answers to who was responsible and ensure they are held accountable."

More from CNN justice reporter Evan Perez: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/06/politi...arebar_twitter
Federal agents and prosecutors investigating the attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi have filed charges against Ahmed Khattalah, leader of a Libyan militia that officials believe was involved in the assault, people briefed on the investigation said. The charges under seal are the first criminal counts to emerge from the probe.
…
With the anniversary of the attack looming, the Justice Department has come under criticism for the lack of public progress in the case.
…
The Justice Department and the FBI declined to comment on the charges. The agencies prohibit commenting on matters that are under seal. It couldn’t be learned when the U.S. plans to announce the charges and whether there are any plans to try to detain Khattalah.
What took so long ??
AG @AG_Conservative
We've known that Ahmed Khattalah was a suspect in the Benghazi attacks since October,
why are charges only being filed now?
3:12 PM - 6 Aug 2013
So was it motivated out of embarrassment from the CNN report?
That would be my guess. Either way, welcome news.
Now they need to get him.
Fat chance. Speaking this afternoon in Arizona, Obama doubled down:

Obama again refers to Benghazi as a "phony scandal"
...as his own administration files criminal charges over it.
