this is what happens imho when our government refuses to follow the constitution and enforce laws i wonder if these two suspects were in line to get government approval (by phone and pen) to remain in the US and thus be able to legal work and collect benefits?
Authorities: Suspect in California shooting spree was deported to Mexico twice
By Andreas Preuss and Michael Martinez, CNN
updated 5:31 AM EDT, Sun October 26, 2014
Los Angeles (CNN) -- One of the suspects in a California shooting spree that left two sheriff's deputies dead was deported to Mexico twice, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Authorities say Marcelo Marquez, 34, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was arrested Friday after police found him in a home in Auburn, about 30 miles from the initial shooting. Also arrested was Jannelle Monroy, 38, of Sacramento County, who was allegedly with Marquez during the rampage, authorities said.
The rampage began in the parking lot of a $56-a-night motel outside downtown Sacramento when two sheriff's deputies checked on a suspicious car there.
Authorities said by the time the spree was over on Friday, the suspects had killed two sheriff's deputies in two counties, wounded a third deputy, attempted three car carjackings and shot a driver in the head -- all during a span of six hours. Those events prompted a handful of school lockdowns and a massive manhunt.

Virginia Kice, a spokeswoman for ICE, says that Marcelo Marquez is actually an alias for a man named Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte. He was removed from the U.S. twice, the first time in 1997 after an arrest and conviction in Arizona for narcotics possession. He was arrested and sent back to Mexico again in 2001.
Sacramento County Deputy Danny Oliver, 47, was killed in the spree. The 15-year veteran was a husband and father of two daughters.
The other slain officer was Placer County Deputy Michael David Davis Jr., 42, an 18-year veteran with a wife and four children. Davis died exactly 26 years after his father, a Riverside County sheriff's deputy, was killed in the line of duty, authorities said.

Michelle Obama Drops a Laughably Partisan Comment on Radio Show That is Raising Eyebrows
By Jennifer Van Laar (2 days ago)
President Obama has said that, in this midterm election, his policies are absolutely on the ballot. Yet vulnerable candidates nationwide are distancing themselves from Obamacare and refuse to campaign with the President.
Perhaps sensing that the Democrats stand a very real chance of losing the Senate (the Washington Post put that probability at 97 percent on Monday), First Lady Michelle Obama took to TV One, a channel geared toward black Americans, to push the message that this election is not about her husband.
“That’s my message to voters, this isn’t about Barack. It’s not about the person on that ballot. It’s about you. And for most of the people we are talking to, a Democratic ticket is the clear ticket that we should be voting on regardless of who said what or did this, that shouldn’t even come into the equation.”
The First Lady tells us that the election is about us, not her husband who claimed that his policies are on the ballot, and not about the candidates who are supposed to represent us …immediately before telling us that we should vote entirely for one party regardless of what has transpired during this election.
Not only does this statement reek of overly partisan desperation and traditional politics, it’s the exact same style of unsubstantiated politics that got the President and Congress in underwater approval ratings in the first place.

Canadian's Version of David Letterman’s Top 10. Just makes you want to shake your head in disbelief. This is Canada 's Top Ten List of America 's Stupidity. Of course we look like idiots... because we are.
Number 10) Only in America ... could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 per plate campaign fund-raising event.
Number 9) Only in America ... could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black. 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!
Number 8) Only in America ... could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
Number 7) Only in America ... can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
Number 6) Only in America ... would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens (probably should be number one).
Number 5) Only in America ... could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."
Number 4) Only in America ... could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
Number 3) Only in America ... could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil Company ( Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
Number 2) Only in America ... could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7 Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
And Number 1) Only in America ... could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

I love History... Let's walk down Memory lane with Elizabeth Warren... October 2013....
"In a democracy, hostage tactics are the last resort for those who can’t otherwise win their fights through elections, can’t win their fights in Congress, can’t win their fights for the Presidency, and can’t win their fights in Courts, For this right-wing minority, hostage-taking is all they have left – a last gasp of those who cannot cope with the realities of our democracy."
Maybe she and Ted Cruz should run on the same ticket

Quote of the Day: "The tragedy of Barack Obama is that he continued the basic Karl Rove doctrine only without bragging about it. I don’t know whether Mr. Obama was a hostage, an empty suit, or a fool, but he broadened and deepened the acquiescence to lying about just about everything. Did criminal misconduct run rampant in banking for years? Oh, nevermind. Is the US economy actually contracting instead of recovering? We’ll just make up better numbers. Did US officials act like Nazi war criminals in torturing prisoners? Well, yeah, but so what? Did the State Department and the CIA scuttle the elected Ukrainian government in order to start an unnecessary new conflict with Russia? Maybe so, but who cares? Was the Affordable Care Act a swindle in the service of insurance and pharmaceutical racketeering? Oh, we’ll read the bill after we pass it. Shale oil will make us “energy independent.” (Not.)"

Apology of the Day: Wedding Relocated So Obama Could Play Golf
December 29, 2014
Talk about executive privilege…
A couple was forced to relocate their wedding ceremony in Hawaii on Sunday so President Obama could play a round of golf.
Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr., a pair of army captains, had plans to get married in an especially scenic spot at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, and they knew Obama was in town, so they even invited him to the wedding.
He respectfully declined, but on top of the rejection, they were also asked to switch venues last minute because he wanted to play the course.
According to Bloomberg, anyone planning events at the golf course when the president is around is warned ahead of time that there might be last minute changes, so it’s not as if it was completely unexpected. And they found another spot that was still nice and secluded.
Obama eventually called the couple to personally apologize for the inconvenience.
