    Sure, there’s (1) the original, long-form 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate. Then there’s:

    2) Marriage license between Obama’s father (Barak Sr.) and mother (Stanley Ann Dunham)— not found, not released
    3) Obama’s baptism records — sealed
    4) Obama’s adoption records — sealed
    5) Records of Obama’s and his mother’s reptriation as US citizens on return from Indonesia — not found, not released
    6) Name change (Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama) records — not found, not released
    7) Noelani Elementary School (Hawaii)— sealed
    8) Punahou School financial aid or school records — sealed
    9) Occidental College financial aid records — sealed.(These records were, however, subpoenaed but Obama lawyers succeeded in quashing the subpoena in court. No other Occi records have been released.)
    10) Columbia College records — sealed
    11) Columbia senior thesis — sealed
    12) Harvard Law School records sealed
    13) Obama’s law client list — sealed
    14) Obama’s files from career as an Illinois State Senator — sealed
    15) Obama’s record with Illinois State Bar Association — sealed
    16) Obama’s medical records — sealed
    17) Obama’s passport records — sealed

One fact remains is that when he attended the Madrasah in Indonesia, he had to denounce his American citizenship. He was not eligible to ever be president, even if he was born in the USA, which there is no evidence to support that he was. Despite swearing the opposite, he's been the least transparent candidate/president in American history. Four years later and he still has not been vetted.

Newt Gingrich Schools Jay Leno: 'I'd Love to See Obama’s Columbia University Undergraduate Work'
    By Noel Sheppard | July 19, 2012 | 10:41

Jay Leno on Wednesday got a much-needed education on tax returns, college transcripts, and the double standard by which the media treat such things for Democrats and Republicans.

When the Tonight Show host pushed guest Newt Gingrich about wanting to see more of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney's tax returns, the former House Speaker marvelously countered, "I'd love to see President Obama’s Columbia University undergraduate work" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

JAY LENO, HOST: Now, Mitt Romney taking some heat for not releasing more tax returns. Even the GOP is calling for him to release tax returns. Should he?

NEWT GINGRICH: Well, I think -- look, this is an endless game. First of all, I'd love to have transparency. I'd love to see President Obama’s Columbia University undergraduate work. I'd like to see all the money President Obama got from that foundation, that left-wing foundation in Chicago.

LENO: But you can see that.

GINGRICH: No, you can't see it. That's the whole point. You can't.

LENO: But no, we're not talking about that. We're talking about tax returns.
Indeed. Leno's NOT talking about Obama's transcripts or anything potentially embarrassing to the President nor is anyone else in the media.

Instead, the discussion is all about extraneous issues such as Romney's tax returns and Bain Capital, a fact Gingrich pointed out:

    GINGRICH: I know we're not, and that's -- but that's the other thing --

LENO: But you’re changing, you're very good.

    [Laughter]

GINGRICH: No, I'm not changing the subject. No, I'm not changing the subject. I'm trying to make a bigger point. There are 100 ways from the way in which they secretly wrote the original bill, remember $800 billion for stimulus. You get to learn what's in it after it's voted on. The way they had secret meetings on the entire health care bill.

LENO: Yeah, but make that a separate issue. My thing...

GINGRICH: It's not a separate issue. It's the same issue.

LENO: Here's my thing. Here's the thing. I think you have two really decent men running for president. I think they're both good family men. I don't think Romney is a crook. If he is able to skirt some taxes legally, I think all Americans would do exactly the same thing if I could. Donald Trump is proud of being a wealthy man. He was going to run. Romney is a wealthy man. We know he's wealthy. His father released 12 years of taxes. I mean it seems to me -- here they are. I mean, what you find doesn't seem like it would be worse than what people are now imagining and making up.

    GINGRICH: Well, look.

    [Cheers and applause]

GINGRICH: Here's my -- here's my prediction. Here's my prediction. Okay, here's my prediction. Romney can start playing the please the media game, okay? Now you release your tax returns. That will lead to three weeks of, “Gee, what's in the tax returns?” Then they're going to say, "Gee, look at these partnerships. Why don't you release the partnerships?" We can spend from now until Election Day on whatever the next phony thing is.
Exactly. And as that's what Obama wants, that's what the press are pushing for:

LENO: Yeah, but you called for him to release his tax returns.

GINGRICH: And he is releasing two years.

LENO: Two years. But it seems to me twelve years, that seems, you know…

GINGRICH: But why pick twelve years? Why not seventeen years? Or why not nine years?

    LENO: Well, a reasonable amount.

GINGRICH: Here's what's going to happen. Obama cannot survive if this campaign is about the economy. So, every morning they try to figure out what's the newest argument that isn't about the economy. They don't actually care what it is. It's anything except the economy.

LENO: But I see some of the economy getting better. No?

GINGRICH: I think most Americans realize, if you are under 73 years of age…

    LENO: Yeah.

GINGRICH: …this is the worst recession in your lifetime. This is a longer period of unemployment than any time in 72 years.

    LENO: Mm-hmm.

GINGRICH: Now, it's a little tricky for a president to run for re-election saying, "How about four more years, four more years of this level of unemployment, four more years of this level of deficits?”

    LENO: I got it.

GINGRICH: And so the trick is, Romney wants to stay focused on that and Obama wants to stay focused on anything but that. And most of the elite media wants to get Obama re-elected, so they're going to…

LENO: No, is the elite media the regular media? Is that what we're talking about? 'Cause I, it looks, I watch Fox.

GINGRICH: No, the elite media is the guys on the left.

LENO: I watch Fox News and they have pictures of Obama like this. And then you turn on MSNBC, and there's Romney. I mean, it is so…

    GINGRICH: Okay. All right.

LENO: Both of them are so ridiculously biased, it's hard for a normal person to get…

GINGRICH: But you just described it for all of us, okay. Over here is the right-wing media. You can tell because Obama looks bad.

    LENO: Right.

GINGRICH: Over here is the elite media. You can tell because Romney looks bad. Turn on the evening news, you know which one you're watching.

Indeed. And as Fox News averages about two million viewers a day, it is dwarfed in influence by the rest of the liberal media.

Why people like Leno don't get that is amazing.

I'd just settle for Obama's Selective Service Registration, or his actual Social Security Card. Forget all the shady "Chicago Way" deals he and Moochie profited from.

If Romney releases ANYTHING more without seeing something from Obama, he's a schmuck.

Here we sit with the biggest fraud ever to inhabit the White House, and the media wants to see Romney's tax records, which the IRS has, by the way. If Obama and Holder wanted them out, they'd already be out, don't you think?

    ...

If a person can separate out their personal feelings about Newt's baggage, it is really hard to dispute what he is saying. The part about "every morning they try to figure out what's the newest argument that isn't about the economy" what you have called "1000 shiny objects" is dead on. Even the furthest left of the left will concede that Mittens is a rich guy, almost as rich as John Kerry or Nancy Pelosi. So beyond that Baracko has nothing to talk about.

    ...

I was really rather surprised that the audience was as receptive to Newt as they were....he's such a polarizing figure to those on the left. They seemed rather rapt by the cogency of his arguments. Newt is absolutely worthy of the title "historian" and "professor" (unlike someone who shall remain nameless, but whose awful lecture style, off prompter, is more grating than Caroline Kennedy's).

BTW, I think I swiped that "1,000 shiny objects" phrase from something MOTUS posted a few weeks back. However, it was true then, and it's still true today....a perfect metaphor for Obama's pathetic excuse for a campaign.

    ...

Ol' Jay danced away in a mighty fast double-steppin shuffle from Obama's undergrad work because once you consider even that little bit, you have to give a look to all the other stuff that is totally unknown about Obama. Lefties are amazing in the way they can turn their IGNORANCE off and on like a lightswitch.

Did you watch CNN where McCain said he saw MItt's tax returns and that he saw "NOTHING" in there that was illegal. As we know John Kerry did not release wife's tax returns. No other candidate in presidential history of campaigning has been asked for this many tax years returns. Obama has stooped to its lowest level to call MItt a felon and is now viewed as desperate politics or "Chicago style" politics. IN others words, Chicago style politics will stop at nothing to sling mud and falsehoods. To make fun of Mitt singing America the Beautiful is just the lowest. We should all be singing that song. What on earth has we stooped to - when good sensible people are just trying to get rid of the dirty politics and clean house so that we can get back to the once great country we were. Again, I am just appalled that they keep digging for something that is not there.

Top 10 Things Obama is Not Releasing, From Breitbart.com

    7/19/12

Joel Pollak of Breitbart.com released a top 10 list: Top Ten Things Obama Has Not Released in response to the fact that Obama suggested Romney may be a felon.

    Here is a summary:

1.Fast and Furious documents. Obama used executive privilege to save AG Eric Holder's behind.

2.Health reform negotiations. Obama made back-room deals worth millions with lobbyists and legislators.

3.FOIA requests. Obama is "the worst" at complying with Freedom of Information Act requests.

    4. Real White House guest list. Many visits are secret. Met with lobbyists off-site.

    5. Rashid Khalidi tape. Obama attended a 2003 party for Rashid Khalidi in which a lot of anti-Israel rhetoric was featured. Nobody is releasing the tape. LA Times story.

    6. Small dollar donors. Obama refused to release names of contributors who donated less than $200 even though he's accused of receiving illegal foreign contributions. McCain did this in 2008, why couldn't Obama?

    7. Medical records. John McCain released thousands of pages of medical records. All Obama released was a one-page doctor's note even though he has a history of admitted drug abuse and smoking.

    8. Book proposal. Obama's literary agent said he was "born in Kenya". Why hasn't anybody released the original book proposal.

9.Academic transcripts. Can Obama prove his merit?

10.State senate papers. Obama never produced any papers from his eight years as a state senator. He says "they could have been thrown out."

Government Motors Costs Taxpayers $35 Billion
    Patterico @ 7:29 am

Tell me more about Mitt Romney’s failures in the private sector again, Mr. President?
    http://news.investors.com/article/61...35-billion.htm

General Motors (GM) shares closed down 1.5% to 19.02 on Monday, hitting 18.85 intraday. That’s the lowest since the U.S. auto giant came public again in November 2010 at 33 a share. Update: GM shares early Tuesday fell 1.4% to 18.76, hitting a new low.)

That raises the taxpayer loss on the GM bailout to just shy of $35 billion. Here’s the math:

GM doesn’t have to pay back anything else, but taxpayers are still out $26.4 billion in direct aid. The Treasury still owns 26.5% of GM — 500 million shares. The stock would have to rise to about 53 to break-even on that direct aid. At the current price, the Treasury’s stake is worth just $9.51 billion. (Taxpayers lose $5 million for each penny that GM stock falls).

That would leave taxpayers out $16.9 billion. But the true cost is much higher.

President Obama let GM keep $45 billion worth in past losses to write off future earnings. These carry-forwards are typically wiped out or severely cut along with debts as part of bankruptcy. But in this case, the administration gifted huge tax breaks with an $18 billion book value. (That’s how GM avoided taxes last year despite a bumper $7.6 billion profit.)

Including those tax write-offs, taxpayers are sitting on a bailout loss of $35 billion.
When the government buys stock in private industry, everybody wins!

    http://patterico.com/2012/07/25/gove...rs-35-billion/

    comments

So, GM’s “record profit” was one-fifth of the taxpayers’s loss.

    Nice.

    ...

Taxpayers’ losses on the GM bailout are now about $35 billion — to save a company that is worth less than $30 billion. The amount of forgone Treasury revenue thanks to sweetheart tax breaks written into the law to subsidize GM already cost twice what Treasury’s stake in GM is worth: More than $18 billion in tax breaks to prop up a $9 billion stake in the company.

    ...

Not GM, but when the Chrysler bondholders sued because per US bankruptcy law the Obama administration ran roughshod over their rights in their haste to put the unions first the law be damned.

The judge hearing the suit seemed to agree with them but likened their chances for success to that lone Chinese protester standing up to the communist tanks at Tiananmen Square.

As many wags at the time pointed out, whereas earlier in his administration it was unclear what you had to do to get called a terrorist, you knew after that. You merely had to be a creditor to a US company and expect the US government to follow the law when it came to the order in which claims were settled.

That’s now the image of doing business in the US; if you invest in US corporate bonds and expect the government to respect your rights under US law, you’ll be called a terrorist, ignored, and you’re standing up to the communist tanks if you try to do anything about it.

Plus, in its zeal to taint Romney with the stink of wrongdoing for engaging in perfectly legal and ethical business practices, the press is making his efforts to attract foreign investment in the US economy (as well as these foreign investors themselves) as somehow shady and underhanded. Compounding the situation.

Then there’s Obama’s complete failure to understand what bankruptcy is. In his untutored, untutorable child-like marxist view of how-things-work, he thinks all those factories along with all those jobs would have gone away as a result of bankruptcy.

No, Mr. President. US jobs don’t disappear if a car company like GM is restructured or broken up under US bankruptcy law and its assets and product lines sold off to other investors and manufacturers.

US jobs disappear when you invest in a car company like Fisker Automotive. Those auto manufacturing jobs are all in Finland.

“Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan — and it worked.”

    Whose Fault Is the Economy?
    JD @ 7:31 am
    http://patterico.com/2012/07/23/69126/

Two-thirds of likely voters say the weak economy is Washington’s fault, and more blame President Obama than anybody else, according to a new poll for The Hill.

It found that 66 percent believe paltry job growth and slow economic recovery is the result of bad policy. Thirty-four percent say Obama is the most to blame, followed by 23 percent who say Congress is the culprit. Twenty percent point the finger at Wall Street, and 18 percent cite former President George W. Bush.

    http://thehill.com/polls/239377-the-...or-bad-economy
I am curious what that 1/3 that don’t think this is Washington’s fault think the problem is.

Almost twice as many blame Obama as Bush. As we know from the trolls, they are the 18% that still blame Bush, along with the President.

Friday News Dump: Q2 GDP 1.5% – “We tried our plan & it worked!”
    [Darleen Click]

    Bureau of Economic Analysis http://bea.gov/newsreleases/national...ewsrelease.htm

Real gross domestic product — the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States — increased at an annual rate of 1.5 percent in the second quarter of 2012, (that is, from the first quarter to the second quarter), according to the “advance” estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the first quarter, real GDP increased 2.0 percent.
Now, the thing to ask yourself, is that a bug or feature of Obama’s plan?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0etE...layer_embedded

    http://proteinwisdom.com/?p=42206

To reiterate, these numbers are annual rates. It’s easy for a casual reader to see Q1=2% and Q2=1.5%, add them and believe the economy grew 3.5% in six months. The actual growth was a quarter of that, or 0.9375%.

Which doesn’t even keep up with population growth, resulting in college loans that will just keep accruing interest while recent graduates are un(der)employed. Then they join OWS because somehow it’s the 1%’s fault they can’t get a decent job.

    ....

10% real inflation minus 1.5% growth — undoubtedly most of it the result of bull it banking — kinda confirms what life actually feels like.

Call it pain and misery. Why thank you, says Barry, I think I shall:

I know “You didn’t build that” has gotten most of the attention, and it is terrible, but I think this is worse. “We tried our plan, and it worked”. He concedes his plan was enacted, and then is either: 1) completely out of touch 2) lying 3) planning for economic disaster.

Most people aren't aware of all of this.

Don't just skim over this please read it slowly and let it sink in.

If in doubt, check it out.

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009; it was actually January 3, 2007... The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment Rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH

Remember the day... January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Unemployment.... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy. And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress So when someone tries to blame Bush. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which cause them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is “I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.”
