Will you try this ??
I think I can hear the arteries hardening ....
This undated product image provided by KFC shows their new Double Down sandwich. The Double Down is essentially a sandwich with two chicken filets taking the place of bread slices. In between are two pieces of bacon, melted slices of Monterey Jack and Pepper Jack cheese and a zesty sauce.

just thinking about it makes me fat, lol! but things i've read about it really dont look too bad. when you consider the calories/fat/salt complared to other sandwiches (whopper, big mac, etc.) its less. and if you get it "grilled" instead of fried, its only 510 calories.
but i'm still not sure if i could digest all of that...

looks yummy! Maybe with no sauce though.

KFC Double Down Sandwich Taste Test
by Slashfood Editor, Posted Apr 12th 2010 @ 12:30PM
The day has finally come for KFC's gluttonous Double Down sandwich to premier, and we were among the first in line to test it this morning (yes, we were eating this sandwich at 10:45 a.m.). The Double Down (also available with grilled chicken) consists of two boneless Original Recipe Filets, two strips of bacon, two slices of Monterey Jack and pepperjack cheese and a special Colonel's Sauce.
The complete review after the jump.
KFC's Double Down Sandwich
Grade: B
Nutritional Info: 540 calories, 32 grams fat,1380 mgs sodium
This sandwich isn't for the faint of heart. The sodium intake alone will knock you off your feet: Our testers determined the salty culprit seemed to be the breading on the chicken, though it was pleasingly crispy and the meat itself was quite moist. The bacon was legit -- it didn't have the usual weirdly chewy, artificial bacon-bit taste -- but it was essentially lost, both physically and flavor-wise (along with the cheese), between the two behemoth chicken filets. And there was a lot of discussion around whether the cheese was really a cheese spread, or if it had just melded with the special sauce.
The verdict: with a complete bite of chicken, cheese, bacon and sauce, this sandwich really isn't bad. While we probably wouldn't order another (unless you're really jonesing for a salt fix), we happily finished off the one we bought. We can foresee this becoming the new "hangover food" of choice.

I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it. You mean it's real?
This just after KFC introduced their grilled chicken to cut the calories. I guess grilled didn't go over very well so now they are going the other way.

I wouldn't just for health reasons... but I boycotted KFC a long time ago.

You can have this "sandwich" with the grilled boneless filets ... might try it that way. Breaded & fried just doesn't sound appealing

Big Mac has 576 calories....

The KFC would probaby take longer to digest and you'd feel fuller and satisfied for a longer peior of time, although it has almost twice the sodium.
A large McD fries is 500 calories..... http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/nutri...ion_facts.html
**interesting chart BTW
