Obama 'heartbroken' over homeless *yeah right*
you would think for someone who is so heartbroken --he would have donated the EXCESS from his campaign, and quit hosting such lavish affairs, etc.
oh yeah, it's do as I say not as I do...
wonder what he did with the kickback he got from AIG last year?

WASHINGTON (AP) - At a time when millions of Americans are losing their jobs and their homes, President Barack Obama says he's "heartbroken" that any children are without a roof over their heads.
Obama says the "most important thing" that he can do for those children is make sure that their parents have jobs. And he again pointed to his plan to save or create 3.5 million jobs through his economic stimulus package.
He says in the meantime, he wants to work with states to help those who are "falling through the cracks."
And the president told reporters at a Tuesday evening news conference that there needs to be a "change in attitude" in the country, so that it isn't seen as "acceptable" for children and families to be homeless.

He isn't worried that his massive tax increases will make most American's have to choose between eating and a roof over their heads. Heating and cooling a home will become a thing of the past.

How would someone even try/attempt to pay a mortgage without income?
That's the thing about renting, you don't need a downpayment....nor are you expected to pay for repairs, maintenance, etc.
Where did they live before they got the ACORN mortgage? a box?

you do need a downpayment for renting -- it's called a security deposit... up here it is first and last month's rent.
if your monthly rent (average price here is $850 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt, and that is the LOW end)... so when you sign your lease, you need no less than $2550 (first and last as deposit, plus pmt of first month).
That is if you can pass the credit check.

First of all, it would be illegal for President to donate the excess funds from his campaign fund to anyone or any any entity.
Second, President Obama does plan to allow Bush's tax cuts to expire. They created the deficit.
The homeless have no place to live because they have either had their homes foreclosed upon or have been evicted for non payment of rent. It is difficult for them to find a place to rent because of lack of funds and poor credit histories. Some have lost their homes because of medical bills.
Homeless rates skyrocketed under Reagan too. Unemployed hovered around 10% during most of the 80s.
Quite simply, these people need jpbs.

There are lots of place here that rent with 50.00 or 99.00 move in, even with bad credit. The rent is higher, but you can get in one cheap.
