I am a member of the black community and most I speak to on thesubject are not for Obama at all. . . Very concerned about his Muslim ties/beliefs etc.
I've met more whites who are for him.

Urgh. Obama is not a Muslim. Even if he was that doesn't tie him to terrorism anymore than being a Christian ties makes someone an ally of Fred Phelps's group or abortion clinic bombers. If I said I'm afraid of Christians because some of them agree with Fred Phelps I'd sound like a raving moron.

Had to turn in early and didn't get to see the returns. Glad she won in TX, OH, and RI. Never count her out until the end.

because people are willing to put a person of color in the "white" house?
seems to be the context given the transcripts and the video.

I am also "black" ( Creole but most who are unaware of the cultural mores classify us as "black" ) - and I don't find very many of his "fans" in my circles. He looks good, he sounds good, but there is more "style" then "substance" to the man and his campaign.
Very concerned about his Muslim ties/beliefs etc.
If you think he is Muslim, I would be concerned about your sources. Living in other countries no more qualifies as "experience" in Foreign Affairs than living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue qualifies as "experience" in running the country.

The Limbaugh effect
It's my view that Republicans shouldn't interfere in Democratic primaries, just as Dems shouldn't interfere in ours. Rush Limbaugh doesn't see it that way, and he encouraged his listeners to vote for Hillary Clinton in Texas.
The effect seems to have been a happy one. Exit polls show that Obama ran ahead of Clinton among Republicans who voted in that primary, but the margin was smaller than normal -- 52 to 47 -- a swing of about 10,000 votes Tom Bevan estimates. Even in a close primary, this left it for Democrats and independents to determine the winner and the basic margin.
As John has suggested, Rush probably wasn't the only reason why Obama didn't do as well as usual with Republicans. The fact is that Obama didn't do as well as usual with most voters, either in Texas or Ohio.

Did they vote for Hillary hoping to put her in the WH or because they think that McCain will have a better chance to beat Hillary over Obama ?
