Who are we to decide if someone is going to be a fit or unfil mother?
I know when my hubby worked for some OB/GYNs the nurses would make a crack when some women came in for their Depo shot, "that woman should never have kids anyway." Who are they do decide? Made my hubby mad.

Not everyone SHOULD have children.

I agree. Everyone that I know that had an abortion made an appt to see the DR. the day they found out they were pregnant.
There is no excuse in waiting 'til the embryo has matured as long as it had in some cases, that is uncalled for.

Do you really want a mother like this having a child anyway, though?
Remember a few weeks back when 2 mothers decided to go to the club instead of hiring a babysitter & all of those kids burned to death.
Same thing, just those kids got to live a little bit before their poor excuses for "mothers" killed them....
At least those who are born have a chance of surviving the 'unfit mother'......if they were aborted, they never have that chance.....not all children of 'unfit parents' die, some become extraordinary human beings.....they had a chance.......

my point being., do we really need more irresponsible parents out there? If some girl waits 7 - 8 months to have an abortion because she had better things to do, is not the kind of person who should be having children.

You are right, she should have the child and give it up. If she kept it, the child might have a chance, it she aborts, the child never had a chance. Or perhaps it (having the child) could be a life changing experience for her (for the better)?

But who decides? Some may look at you and think the same thing. I know Margaret Sanger thought all poor women should not be having children, only the upper class. It gets tricky to go there.
Those from large poor families (both of my parents included) wouldn't be here if it was decided on your money in the bank.
Just to look at a person like the nurses did and decide it they shouldn't be mothers is just wrong.

I know they do, I'm immature, impatient and selfish. I know I shouldn't have children.
At least I'm smart enough to realize that it takes more than sperm & an egg to be a parent., i just wish everyone was smart enough to realize that.

I can respect that. It's just abortion should not be used as a form of birth control.

Yes, but it should be available if BC fails.
